Trent and I have been tearing people up... first set of races about 3 of them I took trent... now the past two races trent has taken me... so IDK who is faster right this second... but his management is in now and he will be beating me for sure... we cleaned up hawthorns pretty well... the cars in our class we have taken down pretty big time... no braggin here though... i dont like to do that sorta thing... but its been fun... meet us up there friday nights 10:30ish hawthorn appliances woodward... redline = 8:30ish ... 11 mile and inkster

 

Hey everyone. I have been out for a few weeks. Figured I should check in with the site since my internet sevice is down at home and has been since July1. I am in a car should at Visteon tommorrow and they are gonig to DYNO my car. We own a portible DYNO unit. It should be good. Nice to get paid to be in a car show!!!

I haven't built my engine yet? In fact, I sold my forged pistons, rods and head and main stud kit to Derick after he blew his engine because he needed them more than I did at the time. Right now, I'm debating 3 different avenues: (1) buy a crate/forged built engine from SGP racing in Texas and have Godspeed drop it in the car, tune it, etc.; (2) have Godspeed built it under a sponsorship, which would save me a decent amount of money but likely take several months over the winter; or (3) pick up a different car that is easier to get power out of it (i.e. - vette, used viper, etc.)

Yes, I was at the DUB show with a few friends of mine that have Saleen Mustangs. The blue one was behind me, the white and blue flamed one was over near the fron doors. Were you there? Misha had her car there and there was a bad *** blue Z convert with lambo doors and a Stillen Stage III blower.

Lenny here, Just wondering if all the Z's are heading out tonite to Woodward, I was wondering where you guys meet at, give me some mile roads, crossroads etc, I no everyone is going to Hawthorne's** but I dont know roads wise where that is. Hopefull Ill see everyone there tonite, Gerry maybe i'll get to meet you and all the local detroiter Z owners, take everyone and hopefully I get to meet some of you....I have a 04 Silverstone, Barebone Stock as far as looks and internals...but I do have XM RADIO! lol....

Hey John. I thought I saw another Z running around down there, but I didn't know it was you. Woodward dream cruise is this weekend. I've been down on Woodward Sunday and last night and each night there is more and more people there. There must have been thousands of people hanging out there last night and some pretty cool cars too.

 

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone plans on getting together for the Woodward cruise on saturday, or at all over the course of the upcoming weekend.

btw, Yancy sweet ride man, I know we chatted for all of 9 seconds but it was cool to meet at least one other Z owner in the area...you and an orange Z were the only two z's i saw last Friday night, I was at hawthorne's with 4 other car loads but police came by and busted everyone up, it sucked ***, but at least tried to make most of the night.

My Z is sold...and yes my heart is broken but I will always be a Z owner at heart. :-)

No problem guys.. I do however have a set of stock wheels and tires if anyone is intersted.

 

for anyone who is interested. i'll be up at milan this coming wednesday the 24th if anyone wants to go. thats milan dragway, the 24th of august. lol.

 

Well I had it dyno'd. It was a portable unit and my company owns it so the machine is already in question. Hehe. I had two runs. The best was 276 to the wheels. Very bad, at least I thought, until I received an email from the Dyno guys and they said that a correction factor of between 30-37% should be applied. That tells me that the dyno was not properly calibrated.

So I have somewhere between 360 and 380 hp. Not bad. I wanted to break the 400 limit. Oh well she is fast enough.

There was a Grand National there. His best run on the dyno was 495 to the wheels. That says he has about 640 to 680 hp. He had two very large turbos and a alcohol/water spray into the intake. That thing was awsome. One of the cooler cars was the 1977 Pantera. Sweat sound and looks bad ##s.

Hey guys, Im debating on an intake for my car, just wondering what you guys preferred, I like the looks of the Injen, but Ive heard some good things about the JWT popcharger, and in general some good things about the AEM intakes....thanks for the help

 

i've had the injen for over 2 years. looks good. the CAI is going to be for looks more then anything. it might give you a little extra when the car is cold, but that quickly dies out when the engine bay heats up and so does the metal intake tube. if you want power, get something like the UR crank pulley for about the same cost as the popcharger.

its been a slow year for meets, but we usually meet at buffalo wild wings in novi.

update: ill be at milan today the 23rd and not the 24th. ill post some #'s when i get back. hoping for 10's...........................+ 3
