I'd like to invite all of you to an upcoming BBQ/meet that the West Michigan Z Club is holding. It will be Saturday, October 15th in Grand Rapids. The motor is out. Took 5 hours from the point in which my plenums front bumper and other mics. stuff were off. So like 6.5 hours total to get the motor out of the Z. Will post pics soon. Can't wait to forge.............

a friend of mine rented the strip out. cost is $40 to race. it might be a little less but we wont find out untill race day. i think its free to watch unless the strip decides to charge $2 like the last time. pm if you your interested in going.

Argh@! I got my block back from the shop finally, it looks perfect. So last weekend I'm going to reassemble the motor and I see a bent valve! I took it too a local muscle car guy who specalizes in headwork for dragsters and he is going to check all the valves and port the heads for me. Muhaha. Ends up only one valve was bent, so as soon as Dick scott calls me to tell me it's in that guy can reassemble the heads and hopefully I can get the Z back togeather before the snow falls. heh. A whole summer without the Z was hard, I hope I can drive it for a month or so before I have to store it.

 

The Dragon was at it's best this past weekend! There were a lot of bikes and leafers but not much as far as cold weather, was in the high 70's and sunny thursday till today. The Zdayz 2006 show looks even better than you can imagine as far as events and cars show and bbq meals. There were about 25 Z's there and it was great to see Doug from Crawford and Jeff Andy and Bryan! Toni even made it up from the flood and had gotten each of us the best New York strips steaks! Thanks again Toni!

 

Picking up the heads today!! I had them cleaned and pressure tested, only one valve needed to be replaced. Then they got all new valve seals and a nice port job on the CNC machine!! Definately worth the week i had to wait, the motor should make some real good power now. Not many turbo vq's have ported heads so it will be cool to see what kind of gains we see. I'll post some pics tonight! weee!

 

Man... I want to go to the Z again so badly! I can't wait till next year! I'm gonna have to pre-order a nice cabin like the rest of the michigan people had... instead of the ****ty no phone / tv / or anything that Jay and I got!

Went out to unload the Z on Monday afternoon and found a puddle of oil under it. Looks like the entire front of the block is covered in oil. Seems I may be not driving the Z for sometime. Does anyone have an idea how bad it could be or what could be causing the oil leak, it starts up and sounds great no weird noises?
