ha! Shawn your Z was beautiful under the hood compared to mine

I was out with the Z the other day and dropped it off at Dick Scott for some work and the recall fix on the gas tank feed. They say I might get it back by next Tuesday, the entire rear end has to be dropped to get to the gas filler line witch is the recall issue. I would go for a meet after that if the weather holds!

Hahah I talked to him a couple of weeks ago.... I am not to worried about those guys 
my 350 will be ALIVE and Kicking!!!! As it is undergoing A heart transplant as Shawn stated lol!!! HOPEFULLY she will be done soon.... this **** is taking WAY TO LONG

Yancy, Your Z will have the recall also. You should be getting something in the mail. There is a VIN list but I don't have it on me. I will post later. It looks like they have a lot of work to do to get to the tank. They have to lower the tank to get to the pump and gas lines.

Crappy weather out right now, but it was gorgeous a few days ago and actually got to drop the top and go out for a spin. I am in A2, and haven't seen too many Z's out on the road, and no roadsters to speak of so far. Any of you from A2?

Well according to the dealer they have to drop the entire rear end and remove the wheel well liner and than they can get to it. I have seen on some other sites and talked to the dealer that this is pretty bad as far as smell and cracked lines. Mike I did not need a loaner, but I also found out that there is a major recall on the Altima as well, something to do with the sub frame breaking in winter states that use salt on the roads like ours.

For those going to Zdayz there is now a map you can post your start location name and pic of your z. Go to the zdayz website and I think there is a link to the map. Also 350tech has the start of the thread there. or maybe this www.frappr.com/zdayz19-21,2006 may work. It will give the entire attendy group an idea of were everyone is from.

so what happens if we dont go in for the recall?
the dealership never puts anything back the way theyre supposed to be. i learned that the hard way when my torque coverter wasnt torqued down properly and almost fell off.
