we havent had a local dealership review in a while so i thought i would chime in. Ive been going to Victory Nissan on Hall Road in Macomb ever since my motor was put back together. Place seems to be top notch with a really nice facility and a really smart Tech named Dave. In front, they are really busy so dont expect phone calls to be answered till the end of the day but they seem to work really well with Z customers. Scott used to be the main guy up front but his replacement Nate is also top notch and always tries to help the customer do whats best for his/her car. As far as rental cars go, I have the extra warranty plan which guarntees me a rental car but I never use it since they usually have loaners available free of charge from at that dealer in usually a day or less. (New model sentra slow and ugly but hey its a ride) As far as modifications go, they wont look the other way but they will honestly do whatever they "legally" can to warranty a modified vehicle. They also dont mind customers being escorted to the shop to have a detailed explanation of things being done by the Tech's themselves. Oh and they will keep your car stored indoors if you request it.
Dick Scott - still haven't had a problem with them when i used to go there but go to Victory since its closer to my home.

JWT Popcharger is in...what a difference! Sound is definitely better. Not sure if I have the calibrated foot to feel the +6hp, but I can definitely feel a better throttle response for sure!
H8BUMPS, I don't think I'm going to wait for you and Sunday to put in the spacer, MREV2, & strut bar...we'll see.
Late,
Nick

Yo 11,
Big shot out to h8Bumps for comming over (after St. Patty's Day and all) and hooking up the mods for the Z.
We put on the Motordyne 1/2" spacer, the Motordyne MREV2, and the APS tough boy strut bar today.
Problems with install --> No very good directions with the strut bar...had to revome a lot of clips and stuff and not a lot of slack on the electrical bundle...the motor cover had to be removed because it interfered with the new strut bar (Oh well, 0.1 lbs ligher!)...it did tighten up though...we couldn't get it really tight at 1st...after I drove it...I checked it and it got really tight. Also, I broke the PCV valve! When I was pulling the hose off the lower plenum, I pulled so hard, I broke the sonic weld at the PCV valve. At 1st, I thought we were f-ed because I didn't know what I broke, but when we realized what we did, nothing superglue couldn't fix. It's a $10 part and I'll get a new one tomorrow.
TCS --> KEEP IT ON! No more than 500 ft. after I made all the mods, I took TCS off and put the pedal to the medal around a turn...I just remember h8bumps screaming...OH MY GOD as we were sideways almost crashing into a minivan!
Anyways, MREV2 is a BIG plus!! Love it!
Exhaust, Cipher, UTEC, and FD gear are probably next.
Remember, BW3's meet on August 7th...how does 1PM sound????
Late,
Nikki Ree

I was lucky that I was always into carbed motors so it was cheaper to mod 'em. This one is just a nice driver like the Cobra 'vert I traded on it.

Yeah that strut bar was a pain in the arss. Still don't understand how that swivel joint tightens up.
I *was* just going to get a UTEC and do some tuning this spring. Now you have me thinking I need an MREV2 -- impressive midrange torque gains.
Nick, if Cipher can log engine torque, that would be a great tool for A to B comparison for future mods, as well as tuning. Next time the weather cooperates, I'll log torque vs rpm and see what I get. Since HP is just a function of torque and rpm, I'll be able to create a HP graph from that info too.
And I sent you an email about the timing bump. Only did a couple runs, but from 34mph to 110mph, it was about 1mph and 0.3 seconds difference just bumping the timing.
And I think you meant April7th, not August 7th.

Also, Someone asked about Yancy's Boosted ( What does Boosted mean)...lol..I saw his car for about 4 minutes on woodward about two summers ago....his BOOSTED = SICK AZZ FU*****ING ZZZZZZZZZ.
Yancy, I haven't seen a post from you in about 11 and 3/4 years ..haha jk.
Hopefully if we all get together, you can come out with us, and you can show everyone your Z....if you still have it.
BTW, Yancy, you leanin toward gettin the z-06 (2007) or Nissan GT-R? thought I'd throw the second car in there just for ****Z and giggleZ.
Im heading to the Bimmer dealership next week to check out that 335i Twin Turbo...i saw this guy in a black one on the road heading east on 14 mile and John R right in front of my work, it was sweet and sleek, and the rimz were nice.
Take Care everyone.
