Default Anyone in MI have their tranny replaced???

It's looking like I will be in need of a new trasmission VERY soon. 2nd to 3rd shifts are grinding more and more. I purchased the car from Tamaroff, and their service has been less than desirable. I'm wondering if anyone has had theirs replaced, and if so where and did they get any trouble. I have a feeling Tamaroff will give me grief about it, I don't want to deal with that.

Would it be adventageous to call Nissan and have a case # opened? I have a few other TSB's I need to have taken care of as well (seats, and axle clicking).

I have not had to replace mine but I think you should look into Dick Scott in Canton. I take my car there and they even installed my Supercharger. Service is great.

They fixed my seat problem and the axle clicking which are both TSBs.

I agree.... goto Dick Scott.

And oh yeah, I bought my car from Tamaroff too. Went to their service department once, and swore that once would be the last time. Dick Scott replaced my tranny no problem. I'd recommend you take it in soon, let them diagnose and order the parts, then schedule to have the work done. Doug and Scott in the service department are great.

Thanks for the info. Did you have the 2nd to 3rd grind? If so, how bad? Mine happens when its cold, and every so often. I want it fixed before it gets too bad.
