We're trying to put together a drive for Sunday June 3. The plan is to drive state route 676 which ends up near Marietta. There's a state park at the end where we could BBQ.

Anyone interested or anyone who has an knowledge of the roads or area can make suggestions.

 

Here is a map of the road. There is a park a few miles outside of Marietta on 676 so that's nice. I hear the road "has the look and feel of the dragon" according to some motorcycle guys. Im thinking we could either meet at the park and have the BBQ then take a little trip up 676 or meet around the top closer to Zanesville and ride down to the park together.

Perhaps take 60 from Zanesville to 530 (which i hear is a nice road as well) then hit 676 from there.

I'll be coming from Columbus and Jyoder's coming from Akron, so I don't want to hear any BS about it's too far of a drive. It'll be worth it.

At an auto-x today I was talking to a Porsche guy and he said we should check out 550 while we're down there. He said its almost as good to drive on but much more scenic because a portion of it runs along a ridge.

 

I will check my plans, i so i could also drive out from c-bus and tag along...sounds like fun.

 

Might be able to rustle up a few members from the central Ohio Z Club for this one. Anyone have a departure meeting place from Columbus, and then where to meet up with the northern crew? Don't want to drive to Akron/Canton just to head south again. Keep me posted?

I figured we could meet on the east side of 70 at some exit in Columbus and take 70 down to another SR to get to the road we want to drive. At the end of 676 towards Marietta is a park that we should be able to cook some food at and then take the drive back.

676 is awesome!!! i'm from Morgan County so that's near where I grew up. That would not be a dissapointing drive at all. 550 sucks, I used to take that to college from home.
