The weather looks great. Hopefully, it stays that way. I am installing a bunch of stuff this friday and saturday. Hopefully I get it all put back together in time for Sunday

25mm Wheel Spacers F/R
Tanabe GF210's
Goodridge SS Lines
Hawk Brake Pads

I am mostly worried about the Springs, I have been reading about the install and it doesn't look easy.

See you on Sunday.

I was hoping to go this Sunday but I have a wedding to attend on Saturday night. I'll be too tired to concentrate on track driving. I'm going on Thursday instead. Hope you guys like it and go again. We'll have to plan another day.

I have done the dampers on mine. Kind of the same amount of work. It's time consuming when you do it for the first time. If I do it again it would go much faster. Get a spring compression tool from Murrays (loaner) in case.
I would be more worried about not bleeding the brakes properly after changing the lines. Hopefully you have done that before and have someone to help pump the pedal. Have fun.

Where on Thursday? I would really like to attend more than 4 track days per year. Waterford Hills only has 4 per year. The next/last one isn't until October. I need to get my fix

It's at Waterford and organized by SEM PCA. www.sempca.org

I'm also registered to go again with RSR PCA on July 17th and then to Gingerman on Aug 11-12.

Thanks Jess. I would love to get a ton of Z's signed up for the October OTD. They fill up pretty fast. You can pre-register anytime for the October OTD. Let's start gathering the troops. It would be really cool to "take over" the October track day.

Sounds like a plan. You guys can post up in the other one as well...

I read through your thread here...

The Kinn I saw your post about Milan, there are a bunch of us that go there all the time
Dz350 AKA Dil is there quite alot actually.
We would love for you to come with us sometime...we actually are thinking of doing a Sat morning track rental if enough of us go it is actually quite cheap.

Zeeanswer-watch yourself on the hill top Turn 4, and the Esses. you don't want to end up in the swamp...
You CAN go WOT through the Esses no problem just watch Swamp Turn 1...

Good luck and let me know your times guys...
Lets see if you can beat me.
Later

Talking

I've been wanting to do a whole write-up of the "First Track Day" experience, but, just haven't had the time. The short version is - It was fun as f*!k, really intense, a great learning experience. Truly a dream come true. It is something I have always wanted to do and I can finally check it off the list.

The car held up just fine - all stock w/ 13k miles. I only got 3 runs in @ 15mins each. But really, being my first time out, was just enough for me and my Z. I might have been able to get 1 more in, but, I was getting tired (from lack of sleep and the driving).

Time to work out a budget to at least afford 1 more open track run this year and lessons next year.

All in all - a super-duper, AAA, kickass day. Nice meeting you and your fiance Zeeanswer - Nice ride!

I didn't realize until after I got home and started to unwind that I left TCS on the entire time. It was the furthest thing from my mind while on the track. I assume you turned it off (judging from the burnouts you were doing)? I never saw a Slip light, but pretty sure I felt it (TCS) engaging quite a few times entering the hilltop turn and just before the esses.

I was nice meeting you and your girlfriend as well 'thekinn'. This was one of the best track day experiences I have had. They just keep getting better and better. I managed to get 6 runs in this time. The most I have previously had time for is 4. The 6th run was actually a free for all. I was really tired at that point and my brakes were almost worthless. I actually spun out twice on the same lap! But it was a lot of fun.

I had a friend there timing my laps. The quickest he recorded was a 1.22.xx. I was averaging more like 1:25.xx.

I make sure I turn TCS off every time I go out there. It really lets you learn how the car reacts much better. Eventually the TCS will really slow you down. In a way the tires are constantly slipping around every corner, so a lot of your power will start to be cut by the TCS.

Hopefully we will see more Z's in October!

I forgot to mention this. Your car looks awesome out there. My mom said "Why didn't you get the orange?". It really shines out there on the track.

Awesome ride man.

Zeeanswer-good times man, that is very respectable...
I hope to see you all in October.

Wow, I might be wrong but a stock GT3 with R compounds and a decent driver will do about 1.22
