Steve, that is not a bad idea.
The sound is the major reason you can't build them everywhere anymore.
THere is one that is trying to go up in Port Huron, everyone is keeping there fingers crossed on that one.
Johnny, You gotta realize Motown does 2-3 rentals a year since 1998 man
Milan is a sponsor of the site, these guys get first dibs. There are SEVERAL groups like that in the Metro Detroit area..
Sucks for us, but we just have to keep calling and asking.
Also there is an ALL NISSAN Detroit forum that just started.
It is from a few guys at Nissan corporate and encompasses Infinity guys as well.
niodetroit.com
It just opened yesterday so it is a little rough, but they are already setting up gatherings and events.
I know a few of these guys..VERY cool crowd.

Just talked with the lady at Milan, and they said that we probably arent going to get any saturdays because they are limited and almost sold out. Only the people that have rented for years (IE: Motown Muscle) seem to be getting the saturdays. Then they will be calling me. This is BS and frustrating.

I just hope we can get a Thursday
I can stay up all night and still make it to work on Friday, so this is no biggy for me. I think anyone would be cool with a Thursday night Johnny.
We are not a big enough group unless we make an "organization" and have the events..
It is frustrating, but they are business people, we are small biz to them man

I would like to go to Milan with you guys, But I would have to know a date before I could make a commitment, because I work swing shift.
When are you guys taking your cars out of storage? I'm hoping for the end of March,I'm dying to drive it!!
I found a buffer to polish my car & take the swirls out & it is perfectly safe and won't burn the paint. the ( porter cable 7424 Buffer )

Today will NOT be a good day to take your car out.
Sheesh is it NASTY out there...
I really haven't driven the Z much either
WE have the snow tires but we take my car over the Z.
I think it only has 2,200 miles on it and 700 of that was one trip...
That is since Dec 1...
Come the summer months though...its on
So are we going to make a "mod party" day.
I am seeing we have enough projects to EASILY do it

I just sent them another e-mail today and called them yesterday and today again. The lady that handles this is never in the office. I guess she does a lot of work from home. I am trying but it looks like we might have to wait until they open for them to release any dates. I am doing what I can. I am going to make it a point to talk with someone at the autoramma because I know they are always there.

Good call on talking to them at the autorama!
I will go and speak with them myself as well just to see what is up.
I know there are ALOT of groups very frustrated right now with them.
Anyone else really anxious for Spring to be here.
Mid April hopefully it starts to warm up around here....

Damn he STILL has your car.
Wow for being so "good" he sure does take forever and has alot of problems.
I would be pissed if he had my car almost a year now...
Dil-you are a much more patient person then I am.
P.S. 10 inches of snow= Aj not going to Autorama on Saturday
Johnny let me know when you are going on Sunday..maybe I'll meet you there.

Anyway, Dil's motor has been pulled and built twice (that I know of) down at Forged Performance. After the first build, his car wouldn't make any power (I believe because of a bad piston ring on one of the pistons that Tuning Factory sold him -- I also believe that Forged tried to sell him new pistons (Arias Extreme) before they built the motor - Dil can chime in here on this). Motor had to be pulled, broke down, sent to machine shop for inspection to pin point the issue, then built up again by Forged. Oh, and I believe all of the labor for the 2nd built is being done for free by Forged (isn't this right Dil?) Sounds like a good deal to me since the issue that caused the need for the extra work wasn't even related to the work Forged did the 1st time around.
Anyway, I just think that the whole story hasn't been revealed by Dil, which may cause some people to think that Forged is slow or unsure of their work. Forged is, however, one of the best shops in the country. Period.
Dil, I went back and forth on if I should post this because it's really none of my business, but I just had to step in and say something since Forged's integrity has been called into question. I would think that you would chime in here and say something too or at least clear up the confusion.

Thats half of the story, first part does not apply towards me. Tuning Factory did fine work on my car... there were no build problems or anything... just head lift due to to much boost. Tuning Factory did mess up alot of cars... but mine came out fine from them. It ran for over a year with thousands of boosted miles on it. The problem was I turned the boost up to 19 pounds on L17 Arp head studs, and caused headlift. So then I sent my car to Sharif back in july of 07. Then it was there, tore it apart fixed everything.. "overlooked" everything and said it was fine.... But cleary wasn't because one of the rings on my wiesco pistons was fuked I guess... still dont know the exact problem. Then the car went through a few months of downtime.. Now he claims that its almost done... took him forever to figure out the boost controller. But the car is suppose to ship back to me next week.
I should have just sold the car.. and bought a m6.
