This Saturday morning is perfect. Name a time and I'll be there. Maybe I'll give you a call tomorrow to get everything lined up.

Sat morning I may be a bit groggy but I can be there.
Rob-all hands are welcome at a mod party

Where the hell is Maher, he has alot of the goodies to make this easier.
It might still be a bit too cold for him!

Awsome! AJ - This will be much better with your help because you have already done the sways bars once. I only have experience with the springs. I will see if I can get into a shop for spring compressors. Maybe I can use my new socket. It will still be easier with your tool kit, but I might go out and buy a one anyways. If Maher calls and says do it there then let me know.

If anyone has a good set of jackstands, please bring them. All of mine are in use and the ones I have are from the 1920's. Other than that I dont think we would need anything tool wise.

All this damn car work is making it harder and harder to wait for my installs!

Why don't we just do this at my place, I seem to have all the tools anyway.

I have the jack, stands, and the wrenches and sockets...
I will have to move my Camaro out of the garage, but there should be no snow by then...everyone thoughts???

That is if Maher is not availabel ,he has everything under the sun....

Also Mike K will probably come too,he's five mins from my place, and he was there for the other Sway and spring install....

Sounds good to me. If anything changes, I do not mind buying a set of jack-stands. I've been meaning to anyways.

Otherwise, I'll be bringing the car and parts. Thanks a lot guys!

Mike K will be there as well.
He is the one that "figured out" the easy way to get the shocks with springs out. Steve do you have a spring compressor? You are going to need to stop and get one on the way. I know Jeff did last time when we did his.

I should have everything we need.
If anyone else has a socket and wrench set bring it.
It will let multiple people work at once...

John can you bring the wood peices to get the car up to get the jack under it...
I don't have anything like that

I've got some rhino ramps - let me know if you want me to bring 'em.
I also have socket set & wrench set. I'll get a spring compressor to bring too.

I might have a better way top get the springs done, without having to use a manual spring compressor. In order to get the shock out, someone just has to pull down really hard on the upper control arm and the other person pulls it out. At least thats how Mike and I did it.

Steve is the Rhino ramp low enough for the Z? If so they will prolly be better than some pieces of wood. Either way works though.

Yeah I remember me and Mike doing the other side...
Hopefully it works again this time...

Bring whatever tools and such you have, it can't hurt.

I am thinking start working on the springs first, and while we take turns compressing them the other group works on the sway bars...
That should make it go pretty quick.

Wow, I didn't know you guys were waiting on me!!! I'm still hibernating!!!

What are we doing? Sways and springs?

AJ's place is fine with me. I might not be there at 9, but I'll be there. Do you need me to bring anything? I don't know about using rhino ramps because you still have to put it on jackstands to uncompress the suspension.

We should try to use a drill on the spring compressor/socket. That might make it a bit easier.

Well I have some good news....One of my customers has built a machanics garage on his property. Right next to the GM proving grounds. He has a car hoist, power tools, radiant heater, pretty much anything we could need. He has also given me the permisiion to use it at will, of course I have to let him know first. I am going to try and work on getting a key.

Now for the bad news....it wont be ready for another 2 weeks. (waiting for the hoist to arrive and be installed)

Just thought I would share, he owns about 4-5 project cars himslef. He will also be going to Milan with his son. Anytime we think it is needed, of course after the next 2 weeks let me know and we can set it up. He had the hoist made so the he could stand up (he is 6') under his car without bending over if needed. This garage is huge and very nice.
