OK First event of the year!!
Gilson Motorsports is doing a Street/Track Alignment Tech Session this Saturday at their shop. Now this is sort of only for Porsche Club Members, but since Steve and I both did a couple HPDE's with them last year, I called them up and they were cool with a few 350Z's guys showing up.
Here's the info:
Gilson MotorSports would like to invite you to a Tech Session where ALIGNMENTS will be explained in detail. It is essential to how your car drives. We will show you how a custom alignment is done before you go to the track. If you drive your car with spirit, you will not want to miss this Tech Session. We will be using the Smart Racing Products Alignment Equipment for the demonstrations.
Included in the program will be:
4 Wheel Custom Alignments
Tire Pressures
Ride Height
Camber
Caster
Toe & More.
A good Alignment is crucial to a fun and successful driving experience.
SEM/PCA Sponsored Event.
His shop is located in Royal Oak so if any of you guys wanna show up I think it'd be cool to hang out for a bit. As long as we be polite and don't eat all their food haha.
Anybody down? Temps in the high 40's and sunny = the Fairlady will come out

uhhh from my understanding it's free. Basically taken out of the SEMPCA membership dues. Which is why I made the comment on not eating their free food lol
and Howard's a pretty cool guy, as long as we're cool and respect him and his place for letting us join

this is sounds like a full corner balancing and aligment , this is ain't gonna be cheap guys at least 300 bucks . this is only neccasary if you have coilovers and drop with a camber kit to correct the camber issues .

guys this is just a class to show how to do the alignment. They're not actually doing alignments to customer cars, just showing how to do one and explaining the theory behind it all.

i tried installing my test pipes yesterday. after realizing the floor jack was too tall and having to buy ramps, i made the mistake in thinking it would only take a couple hours tops. i think i went through half a can of liquid wrench, and the bolts i could get to still wouldn't budge! i got one bolt off. that was it.
for the upper part of the cats, where they connect to the headers, 2 of the 3 bolts are next to impossible to get at. is there a trick?!
needless to say, i put it all back together and gave up (which i hate doing) for the night. after a couple hours and many bumps, scrapes and nicks later. Z=1. scott=0.
