Hey guys, I am interested to join on the Saturday. I have ZERO knowledge about the engine mods etc, but would love to hang out and probably a learn a bit from what you guys are doing.

I live in Canton and my name is Deepu.

 

So that means they are doing outdoor scenes

 

I am bringing:

- MD 5/16 Iso Thermal Plenum spacer
- set of 2 jack stands
- extra sockets (haven't really worked on the Z -- not sure what sizes to bring -- so, I will bring the usual suspects)
- the JWT popcharger that I just removed (didn't love the sound and stock intake is better IMO), if someone wants it
- my younger brother (maybe) he is a wannabe mechanic and has small hands

I plan on coming by b/w 9-9:30. Is that too early? I want to get a head start so I can finish up and help others, plus I need to leave by 1:30 or so.

 

ghey!! So I just checked Fedex and I missed my delivery of the MD spacer. Blah!!! They wouldn't leave it there cuz it says they need an "adult signature" wtf? I hate having stuff delivered home while I'm at work.

Whatever, at least I'll learn how to do it tmrw on everybody else's car lol.

- Hotchkis Fr/RR Swaybars

Depending on that, I might decide if I want to follow you or drop by a little later.

Btw, do any of you guys ride Motorcycles? I have one but don't ride with any group and I only use it to commute and for fun rides by myself. I have a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 650R

There is going to be ALOT of Z's and G's here.
At the end of my neighborhood is Novi highschool with a huge parking lot, a nice opportunity for some vids, and pics.
I will have my Camera, but its OK at best.

 

here's the list of what i'll be bringing - let me know if i need to bring something else.

mods:
- adding a z1 spacer (should be quick as i've already put it on and taken it off about 3 times already, lol)
- test pipes

bringing:
- gloves
- cardboard for under car
- liquid wrench
- both copper and grey RTV gasket
- in-lb torque wrench
- jack stands and jack, and a couple 2x4s
- full set of sockets/screwdrivers, etc. (even a tiny stubby philips, for anyone attaching a popcharger)

anything else? would anyone like to drink beer in the early afternoon? i can bring a 30 pack of PBR.... AJ, maybe i'll bring it for you as thanks for using your driveway. if you wanna crack it open, it's up to you. unless you absolutely hate PBR.... if so, let me know what you like.

no but I really hate to miss this event, it was either this or all of us caravan to go and see fast and furious 3.

Rob, call FedEx. They can hold the spacer for you at the office and you can pick it up tomorrow. They are open and I think they open at 8. Worse comes to worse you can drop your car at AJ's and one of us can take you to the FedEx office. I had to do this today, so I know it can be done.

 

I got a nice canon DSLR I'll bring it takes really nice pics on the tripod

I'll also bring a digital SLR for pics. My rear glove compartment (aka trunk) won't hold much but I'll try and bring ramps & such to help out.

 

Just wanted to say thanks to AJ for hosting and to all those who helped. I am going to try and set up an install/allignment day at Motorwerks is Commerce Twp.for sometime in the near future. Great meeting everyone. Looking forward to the next one.

I have a bunch of mods stacked up for a single install. (Eibach Sportline springs, F&R 350EVO sways, end links and F&R Camber kits) Of course, I will need an immediate alignment as a result of them.
