ok we need to get off our lazy butts and set something up. people alllllll over the US have Z meets almost every weekend except in our area.....y is that?

any way....im thinking something towards the end of this month....cause i know how often poeple dont check the regional forums. this way we have time to get the word out.

im thinking saturday 21st of june?? maybe sunday 22nd of june??
we'll c which day we can get more people to show before we decide. i know someone said that the weekday is better for them, but by the time i get finished with college and work i can barely make it up the stairs to my bed. so definately weekend.

i was at the AMC theater( i think thats what its called) on 7mile and haggerty this past weekend, and i noticed all the open area they had. now the good thing about having it there is theres plenty of people around on weekends, so we would have plenty of people coming up to our cars to look around. this place is a good 30-40 minute drive from my house, but i think its worth it.

either way if anyone has any better places we can have the meet at, fill us in on ur spot.

do to the overwhelming amout of replies the scheduled 350Z meeting has been canceled.

im sure all 2 of us dont mind.

anyway here's the deal....

i was on my way home from a buddies house this past friday night, and i saw a HUGE car meet. im talking 100 cars easily. it was a sight for sore eyes. i almost started to cry i was so happy. im not sure who sponsers this, but they have it EVERY friday around sunset. it goes on til 12am maybe even past that.

the location is on inkster between 11 and 12 mile. huge parking lot and nothing but souped up cars. it would be nice to have some Z's show up next friday.

i stopped for about 20 minutes and this huge rush of people came up to my car. it was pretty fun.

imma post a new thread to MAYBE get the word out to all 2 of us reading these things.

 

Yeah, 2 of us would not make a very good meet.

I was in a show on Thursday in Ypsi and people were all over the car. I saw a special on Fox about our car yesterday. Nothing bad at all. The person that reviewed it was going nuts over it.

Maybe I'll have to check out that Friday gathering.

 

missed that thing on fox. would of been nice to see.

but ya we should check out that friday meet. should be interesting.

 

haven't checked the board recently, but I feel your frustration. I started the last post on trying to get lazy Michigan people (that includes me) to meet. I was out of town for the last one, so it didn't work out. Good luck, I'll keep checkin.

but if u want theres a pretty nice sized meet every friday on inkster between 10 and 11 mile. i was there for the 2nd time this past friday. with a few friends. probably about 100 cars there, maybe more. 2 350Z's where there. i was one of them.

350Z's get soo much attention....its crazy. ne way next time i go to this meet ill have some nitrous coming along with me. (for show)

Last friday was the 4th, so I did not go in case the meet had been cancelled. This friday is good for me (7/11). Are you planning to be there ?

 

i havent been there in about three weeks. im installing a few things on my car for now (eg. nitrous) and i should be done by the end of july. maybe we can get a few z's to show up the first friday in august.

 

Yeah ive been to those meets a few times.. Heres a good place to get info on the Detroit Import Scene and find these locations www.xceedspeed.com One thing about those meets is they definitly dont want ppl racing or reving there engines or they will lose that meeting spot. Redline motorsports sponsors the event every friday. Havent been there in over a month but its normally alot of cars 100+ Glad to se other Z's finally showing up. www.xceedspeed.com is not a club but a community where all the clubs frequently visit. If anyone plans on attending This Friday August 1st let me know il make it out.
