do you know what revision the trans is? if is less than a CD9, it isn't really worth anything.... the motor would be worth 1000-2000 bucks. You need to find a buyer that wants it for more than a core. Check Ebay to see what they are going for...

With that said, I have a feeling you are thinking about a RB swap???? Don't do it. build your VQ or swap an LS... the RB would be a step in the wrong direction.

Well, the RB COULD be nice. It'd be pricey as hell to completely do though.

plus building and TTing the VQ would be a hell of alot cheaper and easier than swapping in an RB.

Everyone has their own opinion and skill range. Many of my friends know i am very capable of doing this swap. With that being said feel free to shoot me your opinions but my mind is already decided on which direction to go. I know building a VQ would be a hell of a lot easier but i am not going for another quick build i have done them in the past this one is the build i have wanted to do for a long time. THose who would like to be a part of it know how to get a hold of me and they will be called apon this winter when the time comes. Until then there will be no more questions from me regaurding swaps. Thanks for the help again guys

It has nothing to do with how big my pockets are. It has to do with time and patience and how I go about the whole swap. It would be no different then if i were to do what Jay did. Jay and i have had a few conversations about it and it will be cheaper to do it this way especially since i dont hire my labor out.

I dont care how he spends his money, just expressing how I believe doing an RB swap is a complete waste of money and time. The ONLY reason why people want to do this swap is the fact the engine comes out of a skyline.

Mabye there is actually a reason who ever said i was swaping a RB in. I never said that so dont assume anything. Even if i were to decide to swap a RB motor in how much do you really think it is going to cost 15-20k at the very most. I would spend just as much building the VQ motor to get 600 Hp so who cares what road i take to get to the 600hp. You are more than welcome to express your opinions as you have been but if you dont know what i am building, what my power goals are, my budget, etc... dont assume it is a waste of money because for all you know i am building a VQ and keeping my options open...

oh, i was under the impression you were doing the RB swap, my bad. If you do go with the RB, you better do your research, or your in for a rude awakening.

<------still thinks a built TT VQ is a better choice

The RB and 2JZ can easily hold high amounts of power while not throwing the balance off.

Waste of money? Maybe if you don't track it all the time. Even then, it's a sick project.

me and 2 buddies of mine are currently building an rb25 and an sr20 and really its not bad at all as far as price and parts.. its funny how things bolt up with other things.. like the rb bolts right up to the 300zx tranny ... i guess i cant say for the 350z because we are doing this to two 240sx.s but its pretty easy and not very expensive ....
