I heard Alex met his boyfriend in the Marines....lol

Five figures for a mower. WTF has this world come to?

I'm bored, too. I think we should hold some kind of meet at Sonic and take a whole row of stalls.

I'm down for a meet. The next week on saturday the 19th works for me if it works for anyone else?

PS - Dave, if the weather holds off and you and the family are looking for something to do tonight I race in Shakopee at Raceway Park for the occasional Friday night race. I usually race Sunday's...

PS - Everyone else that may be interested is welcome to come too! PM me or head to www.goracewaypark.com for directions and more info.

Weekend of the 19th is super busy. It's my anny, Father's Day, and one of my boy's b-day weekend. Yeah....

Doug, next time I need to plan that in advance. I'd like to bring the boys out for a Friday night race, so I'll look at that schedule and try for the next one.

So I finally got around to tearing the Z apart to see if there was any more damage to the car but luckily there wasnt. Just a broken headlight and the passenger fender being buckled on the edge of the wheel well and the front corner of the fender pushed in and severly scratched to hell. The bumper could be repainted but I have some leftover money from the insurance company so I'm going aftermarket for those that dont know.. Which one you may ask???....... You'll just have to wait to find out.... lol

There's only one aftermarket fender out there that looks halfway decent.

Are you replacing the lights?

I'm not going aftermarket with the fenders as there is none that I like unless I'm doing a wide body kit. The headlight is getting replaced with another factory one, wish I could get the 06 headlights but Aaron has them

Well, seeing that there was nothing really wrong with my HL, I couldn't justify buying a new set. They look good, though.

No worries Dave. Actually, there aren't many Friday races that I will be able to make for the rest of the year because of my schedule. But, I might do a couple. The ones that I would do are called "Friday Night Racing" and not the "Destruction Night" races. Of course check in with me to make sure I am going and you should be safe...otherwise Sundays are always an option.

Last night was the first Friday Night Racing event that I have done this year and they had a "Drifter" portion of the night where they let a bunch of guys (about 6-7 cars) do dirfting around the track and thru the middle of the track. They had to take their front bumpers off because of the banked corners but there was a lot of 240sx's and I think...they were probably all Nissans? I saw it from the pits and was to busy getting my car ready and visiting with people to check them out up close.

If anyone wants to "drift" their Z this Friday Night Racing Event is an easy way to get out and practice/do it! And yes, the turbos blow off values were very loud when they got the RPM's up. Some guys actually dirfted around the entire track!!!

Don't you need to be FI to really get drifting? I don't think I have enough power and the right tires to do it. I'd also have to adjust my sways and make it looser in the rear.

BTW, I'd like to have the next club meeting this Wednesday at Hooters in B-ville. Let's do it for 630pm.

Yea I don't know much about drifting but they were having a lot of fun...I could see that. One guy was doing doughnuts with the passenger hanging one leg (and entire body) out the door pumping his fist.

I'm down for Wed. If we finalize it! I'll let my girlfriends know we might be stopping by!

i guarantee i know the person that was hanging out the window drifting. normally its a black buy driving and a guy with that condition where you have a little head is the one hanging out the window.. they do that almost everytime they drift. it gets old fast. and no dave you can be stock and drift. its just a little hard on the car cause you have to have those rpm's up there constantly. i know quite a few of the drifters and they always try to get me into it....lol nope. too much money spent to go wreck my car. id be available to meet at hooters as well dave

Greg, you're always working unless you're not....

So no drifting for me. It might be fun to drift around corners, but I can't put up with doing it around the track and eating up tires and engine life for a few thrilling minutes.
