Still don't think they should have shot her......IMO shooting the wheels would have been a smarter decision because they could have killed the child as they shot her in the car. Don't agree with them using guns either, but hey I wasn't in that situation right!
Lol yeah i read your signature before, actually texted that to them and they got but hurt about it lol. But i honestly wana just run them each once and get it on a GoPro so there wont be any "My car would have walked on your Z" talk after i sell it. Even tho right now with 75 shot it hauls ***, i still wana get my timing tuned and get that wideband and possibly upgrade my fuel injectors and change to 100 shot. So when i stomp on there neons and 335xi, i do it by a long run and get it on video
Dude really?!?!??

Being around cars and guns, I can tell you it's just instinct to either jump out of the way or pull the gun and shoot at the driver, if you can. I know people who've had to shoot at a car trying to run them over.
Problem with shooting at tires is that you can miss and create a bad situation. We are not trained to be precision shooters or selective shooters. That's what snipers are for.
That driver was driving erratically and seemed like she was going to take out whoever she could. They had to shoot to protect the public and themselves.

true...its just that the second stand off when she stopped after she had already run over an officer would tell me to take a chance and take out the tires when I'm in close range since she is already avoiding restraint....would go on about other assumptions but that's a diff story.
But again when you're in that situation, everything's happening so faster than what we see on video and you're thinking of multiple things that could happen to you and the people around you...that shot to the tires could ricochet and wound/kill someone else as you mentioned....so again def can't judge the actions taken especially after a similar incident with that military guy just happened a week ago they def didn't want more deaths in the city.

pissing contests with neons/bmws generally lead to a lot of spilled **** everywhere
Yes there is, cause you obviously know nothing about the Z's heritage to understand that it has never been a straight line car to begin with. If you want to beat a SRT4 and a crappy BMW take them to a road course or AutoX and you'll whoop there asses all day long with out the bottle. The Z has always been about handling and even weight distribution, making it the most affordable ideal sports car out there. Also the fact that when the 350z came, sure it was the biggest displacement Z to ever come out at the time but was it the fastest??? Hell no.
If it's going to make your ego feel better that you beat a Neon on a open road than do it in a quiet manner nobody on here is going to care, cause SRT or not in the end its still a freakin Neon. On the road course in Brainerd I have easily taken SRT-4s and 335 no problem. I've kept up with a BMW M5 in the past. Granted my Z is not stock by any means but to keep up with him was more of a positive than actually beating him.

Had the day off of work today so the wife wanted to see a movie, I let her choose since I picked the last one and so she decided on the movie Runner Runner because in the previews she said it looked like it had good acting in it.......
Any movie with Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck in it is not going to have any good acting in it, and I was right, horrible movie the plot sucked the acting sucked and it took forever to get to the climax, if there was a climax. Thank god the movie was only a 1.5 hours, tho it felt like it was 2.5 hours.

I'm not a fan of Vegas. However, if you guys were part of my crew and we had tons of money to blow, that would be a different story. And an epic one. I may be mild mannered, but when you release the hounds, watch out.
Runner Runner is being pushed into our faces. I've seen so many trailers for it. They're probably trying to make it like one of those brat pack movies that will end up with some award.

I will be renting a Ferrari at the speedway, resort on and off strip throughout the week, and pimping.
Ive been to Vegas 20+ times, yet havent been back since I had the z there 6 years ago. PLENTY to do, its just finding the right places and things to spend time and $ on....and Im not a gambler either
Dave w $ to blow...plenty of $ going towards blow and blowing there from all the locals and tourists lol

Wow. You serious? I know the history of nissans Z line and all the championships the won in course racing through out there history, did all my research as soon as I bought it. And know it's was not made for in line drag but intended for road course racing. That don't nessasery mean that now nobody can't or shouldn't build one that can do good at both course and drag racing just because the Z's haritage isn't about in straight line racing. Guess if you would know more then just the haritage of the Z's you would know that the 350z's are also popular in import drag racing and you'd know about the Z33 that was built by Performance Motorsport that they run in the NHRA Sports Compact series, with twin turbo and puts out over 1,700 bhp and achieved 8.33 quarter mile time with its best speed of 176.72 mph. Or about another 350Z built by Injected Performance holds the record as the highest horsepower, street legal 350Z and highest horsepower single turbo VQ35DE with a quarter mile time of 8.80 with a speed of 163 mph. Or Lazcano Racing's 350Z that is powered by a built Nissan VG30DETT engine and has recorded a 1/4 mile time of 6.6 at over 211MPH. So people do build serious drag cars out of them. But seriously i didn't buy a Z to worship its heritage, I bought it cuz it's a great performance car and is fun to work on. I'm not claiming to be a pro here at cars, that's the reason I was looking and asking for advice here from guys like stock2autocrozz who know owned his Z for much longer then me and knows a lot more then me. I just don't see why you got so offended and dramatized just because I said I wanted drag race a couple of my buddies for fun that think there neons stand a chance against the 350z. Don't see why your hatin..

But you're comparing apples to grapes right now. You're car is no where in the same sentence as those cars that you just mentioned. Those guys there have easily over 100k into their cars with a completely different setup where the only thing left stock on the car is the frame itself.
My beef or what I have left is the fact that you want to push your VQ to the point of detonation to just sell it to some poor soul that's going to have to do a complete motor rebuild in the future. Or maybe it's the fact that you wanted to race someone on the open streets.
In the end I really dont care anymore so this convo is done. There are some very knowledgeable people when it comes down to the Z, Erik, myself, and Zivman (Aaron). I have done tons of work on Eriks Z and have had my hands on alot of other members Z (I'm a ****) in installing or fixing peoples rides.
