Default Front Camber Arm install

I got additional 3M clear bra material done around the wheels and also on the headlights so that I don't have to put the hideous painters tape at all the autox and track events. One less thing to do

Anyway, I ordered SPL front camber arm and need to get it installed. Does anyone have suggestions on a performance shop to get it installed at?
I probably won't do it but is it easy to install by yourself?

You should be able to install the front camber arms yourself without any difficulty.

Where did you get the clear bra done at, and how much did it cost you? I am noticing more and more chips in the front bumper of my car. You can send me a PM if you dont want to post the cost. Thanks!

See my post HERE for details on clear bra. This time I got just the wheel lips (the areas that you cover when you go to a track) and the headlights. He gave me a good price (supposedly) since I already got the main install done.

I have feathering problems on the FR tire and I need some advice on what could I do to minimize and/or use the tire properly for the remainder of its life. Are there any install instructions with photos/videos somewhere?

Any suggestions for a performance shop that specializes with Z?

Deepu like I've said before. The best performance shop that specializes in the Z is..............US!

Seriously, If it's not engine work or powertrain stuff, I'm sure we could help you out if there's no special tools needed.

Heck I need an install day soon too cuz my shocks and rear camber kits are in already. Just waiting for my springs to arrive (already ordered)

I want to the arm fixed ASAP so that I don't kill the tires anymore. With everyone's busy schedule I didn't think I would be able to put those arms atleast for a few weeks. I would be out of all the track/autox events in the meanwhile Besides it is almost the end of the season. Hence the search for a performance shop.

If anyone can help/direct me a little sooner, I am ready anytime.

I found THIS THREAD about SPL A-Arms
and THIS POST talks that it only took him 45 mins, however I do not understand what he is explaining.
HERE are some pics of the arm after it was installed

I did not find any DIY posts about this anywhere. Does anyone understand what is being said in that post and is willing to help me do this install?

Thank you for the suggestion, I just talked to Kenny. I mentioned that you referred me to him. I have an appointment setup for an alignment on Thursday. He said he gives specials to 3 ***** participants and did mention that he saw me at the track day. Their prices are almost half of what a dealer charges.

Kenny is great - he is one of the king's of customer service in my opinion. He is a racer and a true car enthusiast - plus, he is just an all around good guy.

Deepu lemme know how your alignment goes as I will be needing one soon. Can you also ask him if he's willing to work with adjustable rear camber arms and toe bolts.

Thanks

Default Ordered Track Wheels

I ordered a set of track wheels for my car. Got the Enkei RPF-1 17x9.5 +18.
I have also decided to return the SPL Camber Arms that I bought last week. I am planning on getting the Kumho Ecsta XS 255/275 set as the first set and I will be on the look out for some used slicks from John Berget Racing Tires.

Are you sure those 17" Rims will clear the brembos? I have heard that with most rims you will need the 18" rims.

I posted a couple of threads in the Wheels and the Track sections and I was told that most 17" wheels will clear Brembos and some will even clear the BBK with minor adjustments.

Default Grattan Track Day with 3 *****

I had a lot of fun at Grattan yesterday. This was my first time with a dedicated set of track wheels and the camber arm installed. It took me a few laps to get used to but the camber arm makes a HUGE difference. The car turns very easy and it seemed like the car lost a few hundred pounds weight

I will post the videos a little later.

Well, it's a 3balls event, so rain is likely.

Default 3Balls Event @ Gingerman

Had a wonderful time at Gingerman yesterday. Thanks again Lee !!! for instructing me the track. By the time I finished in Group 2, I did not see anyone pass me and I lapped the group and this was my first day at this track.

I think watching somebody drive the "same car" helps you to pick up the nuances of the track that would take you a lot longer to learn them by yourself.
