Clay! How the hell have you been?? It would be awesome to run with you again. Next time I'll follow you so I don't hold you up! Agreed, ZdayZ trumps all.
I'm in, Brian. I may as well just do it now and think about it later!

Heya, Clay. Looks like we'll have the whole Jawbreaker Z crew. No Jagerbombs.

Registered!! Brian let's book a place asap since we have at least 3 ppl confirmed. 5 ppl in a 3 bed room cabin would be perfect.

I also talked to Ali last night and he might ride down with me, so that could be another person.

All 3 bedrooms are currently booked. I'm on a list for an upgrade if available.

However, I have reserved a 2 bedroom villa with fireplace. (Not pictured above.) There are only a few of these as they are privately owned and considered "Member Units." They are the largest 2 bed room units they have.
It should be a sweet setup.

2 bed room (1 queen, 2 twin beds, sleeper sofa in the living room.) Technically sleeps 6 people or 4 dudes. Sorry, I don't spoon.

Fireplace, full kitchen, whirlpool tub ( A good place to fill with ice and beer? ) LOL. I just laid out $250 for a deposit so I'm glad to see you guys are committed.

The rate is $249/ night. I know some of you want to keep costs down so I agree to pay 1/2 the bill. It should be pretty cheap dividing the other half over several people. (Bringing it to around $30-$40 / person / night depending on how many split the other half.)

No money is due until check out.

The location is prime as well! They should be on Welch Road within a short walk to the ball field and the General store. They should be between where most of the parties take place. (We should be around unit #s 510, 512, 514, etc...) See village map: Village Map Link We should also be down the street from where they setup the portable dyno. I'm sure they will do it again this year.

We should have a small deck in back and front. Plenty of space to park. The back is wooded and shaded. We can probably setup a tent or two if we have some additional folks that want to camp there and use the house for bathroom, cooking and shower. (Bring towels.)

Does this sound good?

Attending List (Tenative):

Brian (Phreakdout)
Rob (Aznsky)
Deepu (Mekatoka)
Lee (Sig11)
Clay (MyV6IsFast3r)

Possibly:
Ali (Amseyed84)

Keep the attendees coming! We can make room, set up tents in back, book rooms in the lodge or someone can grab another cabin.

Sounds great to me. Do they have/allow grills?

We'll see if you change your tune about spooning after a few shots. :P (I'm kidding! I'm kidding!)

Bwahahaha!! I actually bust out laughing in the office. (I couldn't explain it to anyone.)

Grills: I think there are some near the ball park. (Just a couple hundred yards away.) I know a couple cabins brought grills and used them on their back decks. So yes. They are allowed.

I haven't planned anything for Zdays as of yet. im sure I will last minute again.. I never register... Who cares about car shows anyways.... lol not my car, shes ugly, but well functional... Let me know when your headed down, we'll get a little caravan together.

I'll probably just book a room in the lodge, so need to worry about where i'll stay.

Your car is not ugly! It looks bad *** with the huge rear tires wrapping the Enkeis.

Plan right now is to head down on Thursday morning. (If we are not trying to get down there in time for drag racing at the air strip.)

Sorry didn't log in in yesterday. I'll take one of the twin beds .... thank you

Regarding the drive, I would hate to drive during the night. It takes away all the fun.

+1

To be clear, Rob is just proposing to drive to Cincinnati on Wednesday night. Actually, we could make it there just before dark. The rest of the trip would be Thursday am.

My personal opinion: I'd like to see the air strip races but after driving for hours and the car still loaded with luggage, I probably wouldn't participate. Trust me, you will get a non-stop dose of auto erotica throughout the weekend. However, I am all for getting there as early as possible. Instead of heading to the drags, I'd probably head to the resort, check in, then head to Robbinsville, NC to get supplies. (Also a nice drive from Fontana.) So I'm open either way.

Thursday morning works for me... Keep me in the loop. I forget things easily you'll probably have to remind me a lot...

As for the Enkies... I sold them last month. When tax return come I plan on getting something different or the Enkies in a different color with some better tires...

Yeah Brian thanks again for booking the place. I'll take whichever is cheapest

brian is correct, I was thinking of leaving wed night and stop
in cinci so we could get there early Thursday to watch the airstrip event. But we don't have to. It would be pretty cool to see all the high hp cars that we hear about on te forums all the time

Oh and my tax money is going to Hal to tune my car before zdayz

Thinking of doing ZdaysZ for 2010 as I missed out last year. What is the count on rooms now? Does another cabin need to be picked up?

The Top Dawg Event is awesome, I went down there with Dil for the trial run of the event and it ended up being a blast. I even had a chance to run my NA Z against a G37& a G35 on the airstrip as a couple of the FI guys were dealing with some issues. Good times.

Hey there Jeff!

So far, I've only booked 1 2br villa. I'd say it's safe to book another 2br if you can get one. I'm sure someone will want to split the costs with 'ya. It's only Janaury and the cabins are getting booked up. By April, people will be trading Z parts in exchange for a place to sleep.

Are you planning to hit the Top Dawg event again? It does sound cool but our caravan won't arrive in time.

Another teaser video to keep the blood pumping. This one is from Silverbullet_Z in the Minnesota forum. Thanks Bud! Great run. (BTW, I believe he's following Bryan, Z-Day organizer.)

Brian,

I called Fontana and they said everything was booked for May 20th - May 23rd. I'm going to call back today and see if they can put me on a waiting list for a 2 bedroom Willow cabin. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.

I know you have a full crew at your cabin but if you don't mind can you throw me on the wait list in case anyone drops out?

Thanks/

@Brian Nice video there, I have driven the dragon before at 8/10ths in a rental car (Grand Prix) back in 2005. It was a lot of fun. Can't wait to drive the Z

@Rob Leaving Wed night would mean extra accommodation in Cinci. Although it would be good to split the drive, it would mean leaving early from work on Wed to be able to make it to Cinci before nightfall. It doesn't really work for me but if everyone is up for it I will try.

I kinda hate driving at night. Especially if we're talking about pretty scenery and mountains.
