Ok so it looks like everybody can only leave Thursday, which is cool.
So most likely I'll just head down to Atlanta the weekend prior and stay with Sarah that week (she wants me to go to a wedding with her anyways). And I'll just meet you guys at Fontana Village Thursday afternoon.
Brian, would there be a way for me to get the cabin keys Wed night if I decide to stay there the night before? What nights do you have it booked for?

Are you running at the strip? I want to put together a highlight film of ZdayZ. Do you have the GoPro camera or a HD video camera? I need footage of that event.

You guys square away plans yet? What time are you leaving Thursday morning?
Looks like we might be able to pull together a decent sized "Midwest Caravan" on Thursday.

LOL - That was kind of why I was asking. I didn't think she'd want to bunk up with a cabin full of drunken dudes.

I'm not running at the strip, I tried getting them to cut down the entry fee, but it's just too expensive for me.
I will take vid though, but I don't have any fancy camera, just a point and shoot lol, but it does take decent vids. I also want to make a film of us Michigan Z's, so I think I'm gonna take lotsa vids this year (including our install party next weekend)

Anyone leaving with us? Were heading out wenesday at 10pm and driving straight through to hendersonville. It will be a fun drive down as we are well equiped
Let me know so we can arrange our meeting point.
Spectators have to pay no charge at the airstrip event.
and if you want to run.... its cheap, where else will you ever be able to go onto a airstrip and beat the chit out of your car?
And for those freeloaders who plan to sneak a run or two on.... lol It will be funny to see you try, Ill leave it at that.

I didnt imply that, its worth every penny.
Past few years people didn't pay and were spectators and then tried to go on and it was disrespectful and uncalled for.
There is alot of behind the scenes work to make this event happen, no other car society has tired this or the means to try it.
If people can just get past the measly $125, they will realize that this a special and enjoyful event.
Take it for what it is.... a airstip of 3500+ feet which allows any type of race.
Push your car to its limits and find out where you stand in the community.
ZdayZ is a good time, but it doesn't have chit on the airstrip.

^ yeah that would be pretty low if they did.
In any case, I think it's an awesome event as well, and if I ever go FI I'll be sure to take part in it.
Any chance I can get a ride Dil? I'll bring my helmet just in case

Let's definately do this. We need a North Central Caravan to ZdayZ thread so we can coordinate where to meet, when and who will be in the caravan. Then we need to coordinate this on other forums besides My350Z.com.

My schedule is flexible, and I'm the closest so I won' have to get up as early as you guys.
I spent a few minutes on maps.google and this is what I came up with:
6.5 hr. (345 mi) to Lexington KY – from Detroit, MI (via I-75)
2.25 hr. (135 mi) to Lexington KY – from Dayton, OH (via I-75)
5.75 hr. (340 mi) to Lexington KY – from St. Louis, MO (via I-64)
5.5 hr. (285 mi) to Fontana Village Resort – from Lexington KY (via I-75/SR441 subject to change, alt. SR129)
Looks like we could meet around noon (give or take an hour or so), in Lexington.
I posted a message on the the730z.com forum for the St. Louis guys and Smooth in Minnesota.
Also, I think ZROC (Ohio Z club may have group going down also.)
If this sounds good to you guys, I can find a proposed meeting time and location in Lexington for say a meet and great for lunch prior to the last stretch to Fontana.
I'll start another thread later today in the North Central Subforum. I'll start one on the730z.com in the Midwest subforum as well.
