2010 MI-350Z Track Days
Grattan was pretty awesome Saturday. I really like the 30/30 format. So much track time. We had two and a half "dry" sessions then it was heavy rain until I left at 3:30 or so. They reversed the track after lunch which was kind-of neat but it was pretty scary in the rain.
After lunch we had a pretty wild ride hydroplaning near the end of the straight. I'll post the video from the Evo behind us as soon as I get it. Like a dumbass I didn't turn on the camera. Last time I let Lee drive my car! (I'm kidding!)

If you check the 3 ***** site, one of the guys posted some pics - there are some good pictures of your car going through the huge puddles in the esses.
Thanks again, BTW!

Man that sux. I figured some things would break when I started using R-comps, but not my clutch. I expected wheel bearings. Perhaps those tires are cursed.
I have heard of pivot ***** breaking before. I actually upgraded mine to a GTM chromoly one when I had my tranny out. By the way I got my car all back together on Friday and I already got my clutch broke in. It was nice and cool tonight and the car felt really good. Look on the bright side though, at least the pivot ***** are cheap, but it sucks you have to tear the tranny out to get to it. Are you going to replace your clutch or anything since it has to come out?

I don't plan on replacing the clutch....I already have an OS Giken in there. I haven't pulled the trans yet, but if something is broken with it....I will probably just go cry in the corner for a bit. I plan to replace the factory ball with the IPP chrome-moly ball.

I've watched that video about ten times yesterday and am working on that all over again today. Gnarly as fu**.
Just a little sprinkle.
Woo! Ken (man there are a lot of Kens with 3balls. : ) finally posted the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8o-V05gIE8
We come into view about the 3 minute mark and the spin is right at the end. By the 4:00 mark you can watch us twitch out of all the corners.

That must have been scary in the car. It's even more scarier when someone else is driving your car. I am so glad nothing happened there.
I agree, it's weird watching backwards ... all the time I am like which part is this.

For anyone here running the OEM wheels, what tire sizes are you running at the track?
OEM tire size is 225/45-18 front and 245/45-18 rear. I guess I don't mind that size, but thought a smaller sidewall might be good for track use.
I plan on upgrading from my OEM Re040 potenzas to something like a RE-11. Definitely sticking with street tires. Not in a hurry.. just starting to get my winter purchase list together
