I was considering getting 17's as well. I am leaning against it. The 18in size tires are more expensive though naturally. The stock brakes will do just fine as long as you have the proper pads and fluid. I haven't had any issues with the track model Brembo's...yet. I just got some Zeal coilovers from someone on here and I will probably be installing them next weekend. I will definitely see you at the NASA events you listed. I always try to make it to Mid Ohio since it's so close to me. I plan on doing Grattan and Putnam as well. I need some pointers from you guys at Grattan since I've never been there. I will be more than happy to offer my advice for Putnam and your more than welcome to take a ride too. See you guys in a couple months.

I agree with rwm10 as well. The most important thing (right now) is having fun. If you feel like you are pushing yourself too much, it reduces the fun factor (at least for me).
