Winged Warrior event, Indianapolis IN
Hey just letting everyone know that May 8th will be this years Winged Warrior event. I registered the nismo to compete and just saw that i'm the only 350Z that registered. I know there has to be more 350Z owners in the area that can show up and beat up on some Subies and Evo's that seem to dominate this event. It will be held at O'Reilly Raceway Park and there will be drag racing, AutoX, and some other stuff. You don't have to compete but you should still swing by so i've got some 350Z guys to hang out with and not hear about turbo AWD crap all day long
ill be there in my car and my brother will be there in his sti. haha im sure evos and subys will continue to dominate this event. sorry to break it to u. we'll all be in the car show
yeah no kidding, some of those Evo's and Subie's are just rediculous. Well I got stuck in Top Gun class so don't laugh at me too hard when i'm getting spanked on the drag strip by those 10sec beasts! haha
I know it is kind of last minute but if you go to www.wingedwarrior.org go in the forums and PM Mach03 your mods if any and see if there's still room you might still be able to get in the event. I saw a couple days ago they just added a stock 2003 Z06, and a 350Z. The registration fee is $80 I think.

Ohhh you're the G, i've been trying to find out if you were on the winged warrior forum. I can't wait to see what all you've done and how your car does, I might have to steal some ideas
Its going to be major fail in the auto-x, the tires i drive on the streets normally are 18" 305/35/18 Mickey Thompson Drag Radials, the sidewalls are waaay too soft to do any sort of turning
I was hoping to make it as a spectator since I only live 15 mins from the track, but I don't think I'll even be able to do that since I have some friends coming in from out of town all weekend.
Good luck to everyone!
Good luck to everyone!
Okay, so I live about 5 mins from the track and was moving into a different house driving up and down 136 all day Saturday. I did see a ton of rides, but did this event happen? Seems like most of the time I saw cars driving away from the track. If it did, how was it? Got some pics to share?
Alright so it was a really crappy cold day to be out there, but it was fun and a nice first time learning experience with the car. The way the mod point system works that they have heavily favors any car that starts out with a turbo setup from the factory. Like for instance there was a wrx with about 450awhp with a full motor build that was only in class B. My NISMO starts out in class B stock and there's no way I would've been able to hang with that car. So all in all it was a long day and I was in kind of a crappy mood because even though it is supposed to be just for fun, I still don't like being embarrassed by fully sponsored race cars in Top Gun. Jason aka Blackbird had an awesome G35 and ran an 11.4 on the 1/4m, which blew me out of the water haha. I'll throw up a video of me going against a Mustang that was supercharged, spraying nitrous, and running on full slicks, so I got killed but had my best run of the day at 12.9. Oh and CJohnson sorry about not being able to talk very much I was in kind of a bad mood and was trying to figure out what was going on with my stock clutch. We definitely need to get some sort of Indy hangout going on or something when it gets warmer!
