Default Detroit's ZdayZ Photos and Fun

Man... the good ol' rebel XT is really starting to show its age lol. I desperately need to upgrade but just don't have the budget for it right now. BUT! Here is what I could work with! I have tons of others but a lot of them I just wasn't happy with the way they came out...

BTW sorry it took awhile to edit. I was sick at ZdayZ and got DOUBLE sick monday-tuesday Had to go to the Docs... ****ing ZdayZ is like my ALWAYS gonna be sick one time of the year lol

^^^^ All the full size images should be 3000x2000+ If you need anything just RAW unedited let me know I'll toss them up on my server. You guys might be better than me for sure

I had such an excellent time this year!!! It was amazing hanging out with everyone! I love ZdayZ so much and its always depressing after leaving... you make such good friends that unfortunately you might only see once a year... that's why if you need any help working on getting the new Michigan Z club off the ground Brian just let me know! I'll be more than glad to help organize and fund anything that needs to be done!

If you guys are ever around wutwerddddd let me know! 810-577-6621 just txt me. I'll be making it out to the potbelly's a lot more this summer since I live out in chesterfield rather than Adrian.

Thanks again for all the fun times at ZdayZ! Its nice to have a solid michigan group there again... we used to have a decent group back in the day.

Thanks a lot Derek! Those pics rock, I couldn't ask for more. Those are some of the best shots of my car. We all had a lot of fun at the event this time. I liked it so much that I decided that I want to do it every year. But it is only as much as the group is and everyone was very easy going which made the trip that easy.

Nice pics.

I hear ya on the XT. I've had one for six years and it feels ancient. My brother bought a Canon (can't remember the model) that takes 10 shots a second.

< wants a nicer camera.

Kick **** pics Derek!! Sorry you got sick! I didn't because I stayed away from the beer pong game. LOL. Suggestion for next year, start taking Zyrtec a week before coming down and everyday while you are there. You must be alergic to ragweed or some other seasonal plant that blooms at that time.

Thanks for being the official Michigan Photographer.
Rob, I love the pic with you and the helmet. Deepu's candid shot looking out the window is a good one too.

I can't wait to get back home and spend some time going over the footage. Next weekend I'm headed back to the Smoky Mountains so I may take some more filler shots. (Scenery and whatnot)

I'll have a screening at home before posting it up.

That was awesome. Beautiful pictures, Derek.

Great Video! I would like to get the original file from you. Can I download that from Vimeo?

I can see where you started pushing it but I think your Z had a lot more to deliver. Just takes confidence. If you lowered, you would be shocked how much faster you could run. You have you lines down well. I regret not making more Dragon runs. I'd forgotten how much I love it. With the land slide, the traffic is perfect. I hope it's never fixed.

Deepu, on the other hand, has no fear whatsoever. He was 1.5 car lengths from me and I couldn't shake him. A couple times I late braked into a corner and he was right there keeping the exact same distance as if I were pulling him by tow rope. Nice driving Deepu. You're one of the very few people I would trust to drive aggressively while I'm a passenger.

I'll toss you the raw files. I edited it a little bit and cut it down to 30fps to try to get below the 500mb limit on vimeo. I'm going to throw the raw video I have on the new hard drives I have coming early next week and toss them in the server late next week or the week after.

That was a fun run. While I did kick out the rear a couple times it was always when I was down in second gear and, as I was telling Rob and Deepu, it felt very easy to control unlike past times when I oversteered. The only scary thing was when I understeered and started pushing in a couple corners.

Does anyone remember the "Housewives Gone Wild" van on our way back? I was expecting that someone would flash something or some wild thing like that. Nothing happened

I didn't say this was all my pics.

Lee's right. Because it was hilarious! The wife still has one of my cameras with her in Tennessee. I will compile pics and video together in the next week. I will also post pics of me in Derek's car!
