Since you guys are beating around the bush I'll chime in ... if anyone cares about my 2 cents ...my choices (in order of priority)
- Lee's Office
- Copper Creek

Since we are meeting to discuss things a proper room might be better. We can stop by a bar and/or hang out place soon after. I don't want to be shouting in a bar to discuss things. It might be a good idea to avoid a single person's place for this particular meeting.

Ok then it's settled. Lee's office it is. Lee can you post up the address and possible times so I can update the first post?

I'm in the process of reading all the by-laws and other "starting a Z club for dummies" documents that zcca has on their website. If anybody else has some free
time you should take a look at it. Pretty good info

Sure. 27777 Franklin Road, Suite 2500, Southfiled, MI 48034. I will make sure that the A/C is on that the security knows that people will be coming by. We can start any time after 10am. There is a huge lot out front if we want to take picture.

^^ LOL - Thanks for starting the campaign Rob! I hadn't even tossed my name in for consideration. The Michigan group has a lot of folks who would be good in that role. Might be good to unofficially rotate that position every year so things stay fresh. (No consecutive two terms) Just an idea.

Ok I will throw this out there....

If we are having it at 11 are we going to get lunch in the middle?
I mean I will be starving by 1pm if we haven't eaten anything by then...

Maybe the bar/restaurant might work better, though having a break in the middle might eb good too....Just some thoughts.

1 hr meeting? It takes us a page of messages to pick a place or time.

Rob, let's work together on an agenda so we can stay on track at the meeting. We have a few things to vote on so I'll rig (I mean make) the ballots ahead of time.

RIP. When do you get the 40th? If you guys still want to buy one I would check out the 370z .com forums... there are several dealers there that will bend over backwards to help find one.

40th isn't coming, it was canceleed due to dealership demand for the car. They cut production on it AGAIN so what few are out there the dealers want so we get the shaft... will have to see whats going to happen now....

Got something in the works though.....

Good idea but they don't let you get those yet/still...

It will probably be VERY similar to the last one we got, but hopefully with a few changes....I can't be Z less its been since late 2005 I have had one...

I miss it already my garage is not nearly as cool..BOO

Sorry to stray off topic so much. Back to business:

This should be an open meeting to anyone who wishes to hold a position in the club. The main positions are as Rob mentioned:

President
Vice-President
Treasurer
Secretary
Webmaster

I have created ballots and a tally sheet. Whoever is not running for a position will count the votes. You can run for more than one position. The president will be selected first and then that person is removed from the ballot for the remaining open positions.

In addition, we should vote on an official club name. Keep in mind that we wish to include old and new Z's, G's and maybe GT-Rs? We also want to encourage all Michigan owners to join as well as Toledo and Ontario folks who are somewhat close to Detroit. So think about some names.

If someone has a logo to propose, please present it. It may be too early to vote on a logo until we know the name. Same goes on the domain name for the website.

We can have additional positions for volunteers. (Non-elected positions) Such as track liason, photographer, videographer, dealer relations / marketing, etc. These positions can also be held by elected officers. (Dual role)

i'll be there.

i can still make some designs for logos to throw out there, but what i've been working on now (which isn't a whole lot) will have to be scrapped. i was designing something with a 'z' as the major design element, but if we're going to be including g's and gt-r's, it probably shouldn't say 'z', lol.
