Hmm fonts...technoid looks cool, Shining Likes Stars, Billy Argel...theres a lot of nice ones.

Haha, do you not like Italian? You did not show up for even one meeting at that place. I love Italian but their portions are MONSTROUS.

 

Ok so where else then? Also anybody else take a look at the fonts? (thanks vstyle)

 

I do not mean to offend anyone, but I am not a huge fan of "chain" italian - and I am even less of a fan of Bucca de Beppo. The portions are huge (its family style), but I think the food is mediocre at best. If I am going to skip out on dinner with the family - I would rather it be some good food. Also, I have received a case of food poisoning at least once from that place.

 

I can't argue that the food is not the best. However, I'm more focused on the meeting location. (Is it quiet enough that we can hear each other? What are the chances of a private room? Etc..) We met at the Copper Canyon Brewery after the first board meeting and we couldn't hear each other over the house speakers.

We're open to suggestions! Preferrably in the Novi area as this is a center point for most members.

I didn't check to see if they have it, but Hemi Head 426 (Same font as Xceedspeed) is pretty nice.

 

Sorry I can be a food snob. What about that relatively new Mexican place in the Fountain Walk? I forget the name...last time I was there, the place was dead. Good guacamole. I also like the three fonts that were posted - there are TON to choose from.

 

I agree the biggest issue with selecting any place is that we want it to be quiet enough for us to be able to talk and hear what others are saying.

I like the cursive stuff, but that may be too much vip style? Also would this look kind of bland just text without a picture or shape of some sort?

 

How about New Seoul Garden? its in southfield...a korean/japanese rest.

 

Mmm Korean BBQ. It's usually pretty quiet too.

Alright gotta get the ball rolling again.

So I talked with the decal maker and he may not be able to include the Z logo as we had originally planned. He said it was much easier for him just to have text.

Do we just go with plan text "Great Lakes Z Club" with the fonts I proposed above or look for somebody else who can incorporate the "Z" logo?

 

I would totally find someone else. Can't we just give him an eps or psd of what we want?
