Default GLZC March Meeting Pics

Great Lakes Z Club had our March meeting last month. Was a decent turnout:

Nice enough to break the Z's out of storage! (Low 40's and no snow or salt!) We've been pretty lucky in the past few weeks. (Better than the upper Northeast right now.)

I don't actually have a camera. :P There is a crappy camera phone pic

I guess I could have reduced it a little less...

I'm going to raise it up today or Saturday...

No rubbing surprisingly but I have got a rattle in the back left that I can't track down.

I'm waiting for my friend to show up then I can drag him to Sears so I can buy a bigger breaker bar to get the damn wheels off. :P I scratched up my back left wheel breaking the lugs loose with my too stubby ratchet.

Soon as I get the proper adjustment wrenches it's going up about an inch.

dont forget about the tire-iron that comes with the car (most likely in the hatch like the 350s).. that can come in handy. unless the lug-key doesn't fit in it.

I bought a 4-way tire iron that works great at home. and if you can't break them loose with that, you are tightening them down too much - and need a torque wrench.

The Volk lugs are 19mm instead of 21 like stock... so I just took the stock tire-iron out. I bought a nice 2' 1/2" drive breaker bar at Sears. I had no problem breaking them loose with that.

That is my only complaint about Mufflers & More. He way way way over torqued my lugs. (by a lot!) I'm obsessive about my lug nut torque being 85 ft-lb.

Most shops do that and ironically when a customer mentions that they work by themselves shops tell you how important it is to have the torque right

I love the way it looks... but I have to keep my suspension so damn stiff to keep from bottoming out on bumps it walks all over the place on those bumps. I think it would really suck on track like this... Only going up ~1"

I will probably need some help figuring out how to adjust the rear height... I'm a bit puzzled by how the shock and spring interact back there...

The shock does nothing for the ride height in back. The rear spring will be on an adjustable perch that you will screw up so the spring will push the car up.

Right but I'm not sure how the shock needs adjusted to compensate for the height change...
