I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to join in.. long story, but, I haven't been able to use my house since last week (wood floor work). So, I've been staying with Mitsu and haven't been able to do any car prep etc.. ugh!
But, I picked up some walkie talkies today with plans to meet up with you guys Wednesday in Monroe.. butt-crack early.. lol
Going to be a push to get my exhaust adjusted, pack, oil change, etc.. and be ready for Wednesday.. but I'll make it work.
See ya's then. I have Brian's # in case anything comes up.
I assume some car-wash items should be packed as well? I heard there is someplace to wash your car down there..?

Yeah, there is a car wash area. Last year someone was nice enough to donate a wash bucket or two. I brought some soap, wash mitt, towels, etc. The water pressure isn't that great but it gets the job done.

I don't think I'm gonna get anything done... I am due for an oil change too but I think it will have to wait until after I get back. I need to go get a new nut for my front sway bar endlink to stop it from constantly popping and I haven't washed the car yet this year. Ugh.
I slept all day yesterday and feel like hell today still. At least I've got the dog kennel lined up.

Tell me about it. I had to do a lot of convincing to get the wife to commit to a 5:00am departure time!
I'm still finding spots on the Z that need wiping down from my marathon polish and wax session last night.
Brian, do you have any packing tips for travelling in the roadster? Last year I think I sprung my trunk lid a bit. I used to be able to open the trunk with the tonneau lid up. Now it scrapes. We will be packing a bit lighter this year now that we know there is a laundromat on site.
I'm excited to finally meet you all. We went last year but we didn't know anyone and no-one knew us. Hell, I lent Brian my tire shine at the car wash and didn't even realize who I was talking to!

Packing the roadster: Take some stuff out the the trunk. If you are driving with the top up all the way, pack stuff in the top storage area under the tonneau. But that takes away from the fun when you get to the mountains.
Michigan is wet right now. So I am skipping the wash and wax. The car will be a mess till we get to Florence, KY. I will do a spot clean there.
BTW: I did pick up a pair of GMS/FRS 25 mi range Cobra radios.
