Call the event chairman, and beg........
Hey, it worked for me.
Go to the PCA Chicago web site:
www.pca-chicago.org
Read it all.....
...then call Dan Gallagher.Good luck.
Well, I've paid for Mid-Ohio 4/2-3-4, and Blackhawk with Lotus Corps 5/17......And the Mazda Rev-It-Up at Arlington Park for grins & giggles!
When I get my PCA #, I'll sign up for Blackhawk 5/5, then probably 6/11.
6 track days, and it won't even be Summer!
I've heard great things about VIR, soooooooo, I may do a weeklong vacation out east in July or August.

LaterApex, thanks for inviting "the competition" to share the track with your club!
I'll add it to the list.
I doubt I'll be going back to Mid-Ohio so soon, but you never know. Remember, you guys would be welcome at the Lotus Corps event at Blackhawk 5/17.
BTW.....I remember King Motorsports back when I helped Dennis Duncan with his GT4(?) Lotus Cortina.......mid 80's?

Dennis was the guy that was a motorcycle mechanic too, right? I think I ran with Dennis up at Road America twice.
He's running a Mustang track car now. He was at both of the April events run by Midwest F-Body Association.
I think that he was a little suprised at how an S2000 could run up there. After we blew down the front and I got some good room on him from 3 to 5 he laughed his butt off when I spun it coming out of 5. He pointed down the track as he went by as if to show me the proper direction.
Nice guy. We had a lot of laughs in the paddock after my foul-up in 5. That was fun.
BTW, we already have one 350z committed to run and would like to have a lot more. These cars are so much fun to run together on the track that we ought to do a lot more of this "sharing" stuff.
Here's an idea of "starter" costs.
Motul, ATE super blue or some other form of racing brake fluid @ $14 quart.
Speed Bleeders @ $37 set. This makes changing the brake fluid (something you need to do often when tracking) easier. www.Speedbleeder.com
Caution, do not over tighten when installing and inspect closesly to ensure everything's leak proof when done.
Racing brake pads @ $220-300 for all. You may not want to get a set of dedicated pads. Hawk, Carbotech, Pagid, Cobalt Friction, Axxis, Performance Friction should all have pads that fit. Talk to someone like Andie Linn at Cobalt Friction for good advice for your needs.
SA2000 driving helmet @ $200-340. I suggest that you get a full-faced helmet. I hate them but I use it.
Get a fresh oil filter and a fresh oil change before tracking, say $40. You may want to upgrade to a thicker oil for the day. I move from 10W-30 to 15W-50 for track events.
You'll find some other suggestions at the web site for things like cloths with natural fiber and the like.

I'm not sure where you are in Wisconsin but Pegasus near Milwaukee will surely have it. King Motorsports in Sullivan will surely have it. You can call around to NAPA, Auto Zone and others to have them bring it in for you but there are lots of places on-line to order. Tell them that you are looking for Motul RBF, Castrol SRF, ATE Super Blue or AP Racing fluid. King Motorsports is one (www.kingmotorsports.com) and they stock Pagid and Hawk pads. I believe Cobalt has their own line and Hawk and all of the fluids too.
You should flush your system out. So, you should check the specifications on your vehicle to see what volume of brake fluid is specified. Buy that volume for the flush and at least one liter extra for a bleed or two at the track. You probably will not need to do a bleed but having a safety valve may save the day if you do.

What the King Said.
Some have changed their Z's with as little as 1 bottle, but for a full flush, think 1 1/2 - 2, with a 3rd as a spare incase you let the master go empty.............don't ask how I know!
You'll need to flush again before your next event, so a spare won't hurt. You shouldn't need to do any bleeding at the Track.......IF you did it right. I never needed to.
The speed bleeder might come in handy. I've been able to drag friends over to help. I STILL like the old fashioned way best.
BTW.....pick up a roll of clear hose that fits over the bleeder nipple(sorry VQ) at Home Depot. Much neater.
If you're coming to the Lotus Corps event, they only require a SA90 helmet. Unless you've babied your helmet, I'd suggest a new one. I got my Bell Sport 3 from Pegasus.
