what happened to yancys car? still having the gasket problems?

 

I'm not quite sure what's wrong with my Z just yet. I think there is a MAJOR boost leak somewhere. It runs fine off boost and up to about 2 psi, but as soon as I start to push it harder than normal driving or try to mash it down, it does nothing but bog down or choke itself to death (almost like a car feels when there's water in the gas - which can't be the situtation here cuz I'm running 100 octane). Really running bad right now.

I took it to Godspeed on Saturday morning to hopefully get things resolved, but no luck. Dan drove it and thinks there's a boost leak somewhere that cannot be seen (likely at the side of the engine near the manifolds). I need to get a full boost leak check done to find it and get it fixed ASAP because I'd like to be at the Woodward dream cruise this weekend! Getting the Z back down to Novi and getting it repaired before this Saturday may not be possible. Isn't there a tuner shop somewhere off of Ryan or Dequinder around 696?

I was going to take the explorer to the track on Saturday, but I kinda got side tracked with a female I know that explorer has a 18-19 sec 1320 in it I wonder what kind of hole shot I can get with 4 wheel drive.

 

My best run was 14.6. I am almost 1 second better than last time. Maybe the new PLenum will help. I want to get in the 13s

were suposed to meet at the rite aid. zless is gona get us some spots, there is a post on the detroit z list. also it was mentioned that there is some nissan tech thing going on that is intereasting too. my car should be done by wednesday. i get to keep my wheel and tire so im happy

ill hopefully have my car by tomorrow or wednesday too. 2 weeks without a car SUCKS!!! that and i think my friends are getting sick of givin me rides. oh well, nothing a few rides in the z while spraying cant cure.

well apparently parking spots cost money on dream cruize days so that way if we park there we park for free unless nissan has some spot we can crash

yea..... it took me a while to think about what to do.. i cheated and did a print screen of my desktop and then i pasted my print sreen in paint. basically major ghetto rigged. does anybody have his # when is the cruise officially start friday ?

This Nissan Tech thing isn't an offical Nissan gig. Apparently they gave up on it last year. I tried it get ahold of the West Michigan Z Club to see if they would like to join us but no response. I just figured that we could all meet here at Nissan and head out to the cruise together.

i think we're still waiting to see what happens with the rite aid deal. if that falls threw then there really is no reason to meet at the tech center.
