FINALLY!!!! got my car back.

i have to admit. nissan of ann arbor isnt too bad. they just need to be a bit more informative towards customers. they need to call with updates more often instead of letting deadlines pass with no word. they're a hell of a lot better then tamaroff atleast.

anyway for those who were wondering, i went ahead and got my torque converter modified by edge racing in ca. they bumped up the true stall nearly 1000 rpms over stock and tightened it up a bit. just from the drive home i noticed that there was no lag between hitting the gas and actually moving. rpms fly up and you go pretty quick. ill get the full extent of what this mod did when i go to milan in the next week or 2. i dont want to get on it too much right now untill its fully broken in.

i get to have some fun installing the tranny cooler tonight. cant wait.

Anyone see the advertisement for the Detroit Z club in Wednesday's free press? It's listed under the car club section of the auto / Dream Cruise section. Interesting.

Haven't seen, talked to, or met up with any of you in a while. It's amazing how many things get scheduled "for you" when you're married. Especially when you enjoy doing whatever at a moments notice, just to realize that you don't have an open weekend for 2 months!

Talked to Doug at Dick Scott today. Sounds like there is a chance that the dealership will be holding an event in the future. BTW: my car was in getting the rear bearings replaced.

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the Dream Cruise this week.

whats wrong with the rear bearings?

3 hours of total work and this is all i have to show for it. close fit too. there about 1/2 inch of space between the Tranny cooler and the condeser.

hey did you guys know that our z's come with a tranny cooler? i just noticed that tonight. its a sad excuse for a tranny cooler but thats what it is. oh and its tucked away almost under the radiator, useless.

work should be nice tomorrow. riiiight.

Yancy,

I have you checked out the mass air flow sensor? Especially if you're using an oiled filter element... They can get contaminated. You might want to pull it out and clean the tip of it with alcohol or something if it looks like there is any oil from your air filter on it.

I noticed you had some custom gauges in there, if you have an A/F ratio gauge you'd be able to tell if the thing was running rich or lean; might give you a better indication if where the problem lies. I believe that Greddy makes these as well (to go with the rest of your gauges).

Mike, do you mean the tranny cooler in the picture or the torque converter?

I picked up the crawford because I have only heard good things. The kinetix is prone to failure and cracking. I heard a couple of other brands were out or were coming out but I have the Crawford Cats and decided on the Plenum. I paid $622 for the Plenum and strut bar becasue you have to use their strut bar to make it fit. That includes shipping. I would like to get a lower plenum someday but I want to wait to see results from people using them.

Cain, do you think Camber adjustment arms will help the feathering issue. You may not know but maybe you could ask someone. I am thinking of buying some from Kenetix for $750.

I am having the feathering issue again and the alignment is within specs for the toe-in but out of spec for camber and the shop said they could not adjust the camber or caster.

the torque converter is for the AT5 tranny's. you dont have to worry this mod.

either way, it was done by edgeracingconverters.com and i had nissan of ann arbor do the installation. edge racing is located in california. shipping the tc was very expensive.

how about 15 mile and orchard lake? There is a Farmer Jack on the corner. We can take 15 mile the rest of the way.
