some people i know are calling it the clinton twp cruise. starts at 10 am. i think the heavy area is around 16/gratiot. i can't go sunday, but its all kinds of cars thats gonna be there.

 

Shawn, how was the cruise? I couldn't make it, I was out with a friend (Jamie). Went to the Henry Ford IMAX, Hockey Town, and the Town Pump.

i have a question for anyone who has delt with nissan of ann arbor. i have to get some major mechanical work done on my car and dick scott nissan cant take me until late next week. i dont have that kind of time. nissan of aa can take me this thursday and they're charging a bit less. has anyone had a bad experience with nissan of aa? do they know a lot about the 350z?

please let me know asap. the people i talked to at dick scott sounded a bit more professional then the ones at nissan of ann arbor. im a little worried.

ok lets start planning for august 14th. here are the details on whats going on.

Entry Fee to Race - $35
Entry Fee to Watch - $10
Points Entry Fee - $25 (none of us have to worry about that)
Gates open at 6 P.M. Time Trials 6-9 P.M. Eliminations at 9:30 Track secured at 11 P.M.

Classes:
1) Sport Compact (List is coming soon)
2) Domestics - Must be street appearing, no tubs, no slicks, must have mufflers, proof of insurance, full interior, roll-up windows
3)Frantic 4 - 4 fastest cars in time trials from Sport Compact and Domestic (8 all together) will race in a heads-up, pro tree shootout (no extra entry fee). The 2 classes race separately with a winner for each. .

Winner $250 Plus Trophy
Runner-Up $100
Semis $50

Domestic
Winner $250 Plus Trophy
Runner-Up $100

its domestics vs imports. i believe this is bracket racing, meaning it does not matter how fast your car is. the only thing that matters is you have to pick what you think you'll get in the 1/4 mile BEFORE you drag. the closer you get to your estimated time, the better. there is test and tune from 6 to 930pm. this should give you enough time to make a few runs to give you a better idea of what your car is running for that day. this way you can be more accurate with your predicated times. the franctic 4 on 4 is not bracket racing, its basically the 4 fastest cars from each side go up against each other. that will probably be after all bracket racing is done. any questions, just post and ill answer.

are we still planning on doing anything before milan on that day? the track doesnt open til 6pm.
