Detroit Area Z List Part 2
#348
september 11th
2-9pm
$6 to watch
$35 to show your car
$40 to show and enter other contests like loudest system, best lights etc. prices are US dollars.
they have more then 10 different car and truck classes. its the 3rd annual so they must of done this twice arleady. heh.
im thinking of entering the show and shine part of the show, but my car is a mess, and the only shine i see is some light reflecting off of white bird poop on my rear bumper.
there are a few ghetto things happening at the show too, like rc car racing and dj battles. actually the glow off is pretty stupid too, but thats what happens when you have a 4 banger i guess. they also have a bikini contest....maybe etx wants to get in on that. there is a prize if you win. hehe. im messin.
ill post a location as soon as i get one. from what i was told its about 30 minutes aways from where i live in dearborn heights (ford and telegraph area). so figure it from there.

MySunset....do you have any concerns running the Injen long ram system in Detroit's heavy rain or snow? I love the intake, but wonder if I should put the stock system back on if I drive it late in the year.

Anyone have a template for the nismo or jdm spoiler? I didn't get one with mine or any instructions. I need one for Friday. I want to have Dick Scott install it but they need a template at the minimum. Its the spoiler that zlessnomore and ETX have. Help!!!

Jon, the horsepower difference is very little to where you wont be able to feel it unless its your first mod. but its there. its more of a top end thing i guess. but it does look sweet under the hood. you really should of done that first with your n2o system. its not too good to run n2o with your stock plastic intake.
good question. i actually take off the extension and turn it into a short ram setup for the winter. i havent had any problems with it in the summer, but i dont want to risk anything with snow and salt thrown in the mix. i did notice the sound of the car does get a little bit deeper with the short ram setup. its pretty easy to go from short CAI to short ram.

GARDENA, Calif. (September 8, 2004) - Nissan North America, Inc., today announced 2005 model year pricing for its award-winning 350Z sports car, which is available in a total of seven Coupe and four Roadster models. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) changes little for 2005, ranging from no increase to a maximum of $60, despite the addition of a number of standard features including Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS), driver’s seat front and rear lifter and heated outside mirrors. The 350Z’s 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode now features downshift rev matching.
Also new for 2005 is a new exterior color – Ultra-Yellow – which is offered at a $500 MSRP. It utilizes a new high-luminance and high-chroma pearl pigment and three layers of top coat (with separate color pigment and pearl pigment layers) to create an almost “liquid” surface appearance.
The high performance Nissan Z®, which comes with a standard 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine, has sold over 70,000 units since its introduction to the U.S. market in August 2002. The Z Roadster, with its fully automated top with glass rear window, was introduced in summer 2003. The original Z, the Datsun 240Z, made its debut 35 years ago as a 1970 model.
Pricing for the Z Coupe begins at $26,500 for the 350Z MT with 6-speed manual transmission.
Other Coupe models and MSRPs include: the Enthusiast MT at $28,450 (6-speed manual); Enthusiast AT at $29,450 (with 5-speed automatic transmission); Performance MT at $30,650 (6-speed manual); Touring MT at $33,400 (6-speeed manual); Touring AT at $31,800 (5-speed automatic); and the top-of-the-line Track MT at $34,300 (6-speed manual). The 2005 350Z Track MT model will be available beginning in December.
The 350Z Roadster begins with an MSRP of $34,050 for the Enthusiast MT (6-speed manual transmission). Other models include the Enthusiast AT (5-speed automatic) at $35,050; Touring MT (6-speed manual) at $36,450; and Touring AT (5-speed automatic) at an MSRP of $37,450.
Complete pricing and option packages are available on the attached sheets.
The fully equipped 2005 350Z is offered with only a few available options, including the new Ultra-Yellow exterior paint, supplemental side air bags (Roadster), supplemental side air bags and curtain side air bags (Coupe) and a DVD-based navigation system (not available on Performance and Track models).
