Spring Rally on Long Island?!
The grass is starting to get green, the weather is starting to get nice again. How about a rally?
I know Dan Ziegler of Smithtown Nissan had mentioned something about Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River. Wuz up with that Dan?
How about a gathering out in Suffolk this time guys/gals? Maybe Wine Country?
I am open for suggestions.
Waiting for your reply Bronx Warrior.

ok, got to go back to cleaning the Z so I can enjoy my afternoon cruise.
Cheers. -m

Rally
Wine country is a trek? If I said Napa Valley that would be trek. Remember that we drive 350Z's. We can do warp 7, too many Star Trek episodes, well we can go really fast.
How about next Sunday? We could meet at the Macari Vineyards?
That is the 1st one on Sound Ave in Mattituck?
William Floyd Pkwy to 25 A, then East to Sound Ave. Approx 5 miles or so East on Sound Ave to Macari Vineyards.
If someone has a better choice I am open to suggestions.
Say around 11 AM?
How's this pic Bronx?!
LOL

Alternative sites
How about these sites instead of wine country.
Heckscher State Park, Robert Moses State Park, Sunken Meadow State Park, or, Sayville (we have a Starbucks) and also a big parking area at Lands End Restaurant overlooking the Great South Bay or "Ducks Stadium" in Central Islip (access off of Southern State Pkwy.
I am open to suggestions for a time and place.

From your lips to
God's ears. May the war be over by next weekend.
I offered the other places as alternatives because they were closer for our western Long Island/NYC friends.
The Lands End suggestion is really not a bad one in that we could have the Great South Bay as a backdrop for a group shot. The only possible downside would be if there is a big wedding that day. We would probably steal the show from the bride. LOL

I just checked the weather, and it looks like rain all weekend
Anyway, I could make a Saturday event, but I work on Sundays, so unless we can agree to Saturday (and the weather changes) I'll have to try an make the next one.

SAT. OR SUNDAY
Either day is fine with me. So far I am underwhelmed by the response to the idea of a Spring Rally.
We can re-evaluate later in the week.

Three possible site
I checked out 3 sites today for a possible meet.
1. Heckscher State Park, the area near the boat launching site or Field 6 looked good (no park fee until 5/5/03) at field 7 I was attacked by seagulls looking for food. I felt like I was in a Alfred Hitchcock movie.
2. West Gate of Citi Bank Field, exit 43A off of Southern State Pkwy. Citi Bank field is where th Ducks play baseball near the Court Complex (the big "white elephant" bldg you can see from many places. Thanks Sen. Damato)
3. Lands End parking lot in Sayville. That's my favorite because of the view, plus I live in Sayville.
Tom did you check out wine country? I agree it may be too far for our western LI/NYC buds.
We need to decide where to meet. I'm open to suggestions.
We also need to decide on the day? Sat or Sunday and what time?
Cast your votes fellow Zcar owners.
