WE ARE OFFICIALLY GO FOR NORTHEAST MOUNTAIN RUN III!

We leave 8 am prompt from the Basketball Hall of Fame (see original post for details). Be there at 7:30 or so to get route directions etc.

Forecast calls for 65-70*, few showers (30% chance). Last year we had a 50% chance and only had about five minutes of rain. The system going through most of our areas now into Saturday will be way up in Maine and Nova Scotia come Sunday. Looking at the radar, the US east of the Mississippi will be clear. I am willing to bet the forecast is changed to mostly sunny, 70* by Saturday night.

Bring walkie talkies/2 way radios if you have them (ie, Motorola TalkAbout). The more people we have in communication, the better.

As stated earlier, run directions will NOT be released until the day of the event, when you get there. We are sticking firm to this for several reasons. I will also be bringing a few copies of actual mapquest pictures of the route.

The Exit 34 caravan seems to be breaking up since whitetrack and plazzbo and vics are not going on the Run.

I am sure you can check to make sure, but I won't be able to contact you to let you know when we are about that area so you are better off driving up to the Basketball Hall of Fame off the bat.

Last year there were two of them. I THINK I recall Speedracer saying there would be a second run this year too.

 

I said there will be another one haha. Speedracer might bring along the RS4 if he doesn't have the ZR next time.

Don't worry, there will be Northeast Mountain Run IV

 

oh f#$k yea, im so down to do it again in the fall.

 

myself and Team are down also, i personaly love this stuff and cant get enough of it and i can drive my crazy self this run

 

^ That's pretty much how I feel too. No holds barred at an event like this, I have open roads where I can really drive hard, the way I like to. Tooling around the city and suburban streets just doesn't compare at all. Out here in the rural mountain roads, it's just a different world. No traffic, and nicely paved roads. Despite being with 30 of you guys yesterday, I felt like it was just me in my car and the open road; I felt like I had total driving freedom - it felt like a private race track.

 

it really was amazing, its the first time ive pushed the Z so hard and so far to its limits, it finally got driven how it was built for.
a few times i wished i was alone because i was wanted to go even harder, but didnt wanna rear end someone. but trust me the speed we were at was still exciting enough.
