PS Thought you would like to know . I just had a car show for my kids at school Friday . Got 3 Z's , including mine to show up . Two 911's parked near the 350Z . The 350Z DOMINATED !!!!!!! There was no contest . Everyone was asking about the Z , and were literally bypassing the 911's . Oh well !Somebody has to do it !

Scott, it appears most people are bringing somebody but that is a personal preference. I know some members coming with wives (my wife is coming), girlfriends, buddies, and even kids. There are also members coming solo.

Basically anybody can come. Keep in mind that other cars are allowed to come also. I know the Z only fits two people and there is pleny of space at the meet to park other cars separately and Lime Rock has tons of parking. Just to give you an idea, my wife is coming in our other car and will be bringing my 10 year old son and his buddy. Just keep in mind that the entrance fee to Lime Rock is $20.00/person. Hmmm...I just found out that I'm spending $2000 to bring my Accord up to running shape. It hasn't been doing so well lately, and recently, it just stopped. Apparently, I need a new battery, starter, tires, some joints, belts...literally the list was endless. Somewhere, deep down inside, I am an optimist, despite my pessimistic exterior, and I actually don't think the shop is screwing with me, so I don't want to hear any comments.

The reason I'm posting this here is that this will probably eat into my digital camera fund. So, I probably won't be bringing a digital SLR to the meet.

Actually, when I think about it, probably nobody other than me really cares.

I guess I'm just venting about spending $2000 on a car worth maybe $5000.


Anyways, as somebody once sung, "Let the meet go on."

Things are looking pretty good, I think I am going to add some Reen CF fillers to my collection of raffle gifts!

 

Andrew, that really sucks. I know how badly you wanted that camera. Unfortunately, the Z is not the best choice for a winter car especially with the stock tires. Good luck, hopefully the Accord will run like new after all the repairs.

Wow, you are really going nuts with items for the raffle. Great to see the enthusiasm. We need to get together at the end of June to review all the details of the meet. Let me know once you know your June schedule so that we can plan another Sunday lunch.

Victor, I put one flyer on a SS Touring parked next to me at work. I'd heard of him, but never saw him until today.

I put another one on a DB parked near my house. It then started to rain, and I went back and recollected the soggy mess the flyer had become. Well, I'd be pissed if there was some lame *** soggy flyer which had run so much that I couldn't read it sitting on my car.

Went by an address that Leon pointed out to me...didn't see a Z, but there was an old guy watching as I drove by. I'll have to go back and recheck.

So...in the end, 1 for 3, and still searching!

Oh, and my friend Alex who is buying a G35 is going to try spreading the word a little also.

 

I had an accident but hopefully it will be fixed in time to go.
