from what i hear from alot of people is that bear mountain is a real good ride. now i don't know much about bear mountain but i'd like too. are there any restaurants in or around the bear mountain area that can take on a bunch of guy's and their z cars?
Ed rivera wants to get a ride together for this sunday september 23 to the bear mountain area which i feel would be a great way for me to scope out the area and get the rest of the details hammered out by next monday. let me know what you guy's think this your ride too.

 

I'm in if you dont mind a sport tuned frontier with ya., I know some of the roads but there is not much up there

bear mountain is around the 7 lakes drive area / harriman - I've never run into any restaurants that are worth while up there. but the roads are nice for driving. Lots of motorcycles and somtimes families. As tempting as it might be to go fast on those nice country roads, they do have a good bit of park rangers patroling on the weekends and they will pull you over so be careful. I go up there quite often and there is a place called bellvale farms thats good for ice cream. Its one town over in a place called Warwick and takes you through some nice mountains to get there. The place is at the very top of a hill and makes for good pictures.

I might be interested in going to something like this. Considering there is no restaurants up there, why not just have a bbq up in the woods. Its allowed in the park. Just a suggestion.

Its also near West Point which has one decent chinese restaurant but not sure how parking friendly it would be for a whole lot of cars. If i think of any good restaurants in the area then I'll post up.

You could all just come to MA next Sunday for the Northeast Mountain Run IV.

 

Anyone want to go to the NE mountain run? I am going. Looking for a few more people to cruise up there. This is a great mountain run for those of you that have not done it!

 

G87 are you getting up really early, or you staying overnight in CT or MA?

I am not sure what I am doing yet. its about 4.5 hrs away from me at a normal 65 MPH. I was thinking about driving up on sat and staying, but what am I gonna do on sat since I don't know anyone up there. If I come up I will end up leaving in the middle of the night and taking a power nap for an Hour or two when I get there. Do ya got any other suggestions for me? haha

You might want to just come up. Come up late, get to Hartford or whatever at 10-11:00. Then you won't feel bad with nothing to because you don't know anyone. Then you can just get up and get to Springfield at 7:45 AM (about 15-20 mins from Hartford).

 

Auctally I caught up with a few guys that are coming from North Jersey. So Im going to meet them at the crack of dawn and were gonna head up. 2 Days left. Can't wait! haha
