You don't do meets? Too good for them or something? Why wouldn't you go to meets with a car like that?

The problem with letting others drive your car doesn't just end at "oh it's just a Z". The problem is that when someone ****s something up, they'll quickly change tune and color and refuse to pay. Friends, girlfriend, whoever.

zmazing you are amazing, thanks!

And to the OP, the people who drive my car would pay for sure. The only ones who would drive it would be my girlfriend or my mother. Both I trust, know where they live and have know for ever. (mom obivously my whole life, girlfriend since 5th grade.) I don't think we are talking about just letting any one drive your our cars.

im not as neurotic as some of the members on here, i do sympathies with their feelings though......

my car is also my hobby, I autoX and drift race it for fun......
ive put so much money and time into fixing my car up and buying supporting mods, truck to tow, car specific trailer, small autoX trailer, house with garage to work on car.......everything is very expensive when track related with a car as expensive as a Z.....with that said, i get really nervous and cant help but worry when my wife drives the car.

one wreck and its gone...i doubt ill get to buy another and do it all over again....

Not really my thing I guess, too many other hobbies that I am sure others would think I am insane like the 15K or so I have in the reef aquarium in my basement.

Some people just don't get that attached and others do and cost really has nothing to do with it. My aunts friend has a new 911 Carrera 4S which was about 90k by the time he was done and he lets anyone including my aunts 16 year old son drive it. To him it's just a car. If something happens to it, that's what insurance is for. If it gets real messed up he would get it fixed and trade it in for a new one. I am definately not as bad as him and will only let people I know who can drive (or my wife learning to drive MT) take my car.

My car is pretty simple wheels and tires, drop, tint, blacked out taillights.

So does that mean you wouldn't give the keys to your house to a friend if you were going away? Just trying to understand this, if it is a money thing, a trust thing, or what. You should be much more attached to your house, worth a ton more money and would be much worse if something were to happen.

I give up my keys to friends and family no questions asked. I would think no matter what I had invested in my car I would do the same thing as it would never be as important as my house.

thats a different story. When you car is 2 inches off the ground, has over 400whp, has 5% tints on it, and wheels worth over 500 a peice, i dont think anybody should be driving it but the primary driver. i remember my first car was a celica. I had a nice fiberglass bodykit, sick rims with polished lips. One day i let my dad drive it cuz he wanted to real bad, he came back with a big crack in my front bumper and a nice curb on the front right rim. He's my dad so i didnt really say nothing but its irritating. I put maaaaad sweat and blood into my cars and when people drive my cars, i feel like a mom who just lost his child in new york city.

but enough of this topic. Everyone is different and i choose to keep my keys in my own hands.

how the hell did this turn from a girl in a blue z to me. LOL

MikeyG the car looks beautiful! Very clean

As for me, my g/f has only driven my car once (owned it for about 3 months). The only way I will let her is if I'm in the car with her. ...and yes, I am as obsessed with my car just as much as everyone else here, if not more (it's bad). But in all reality, we've been together for 3 years. If she does anything to the car, I'll be there and know about it. Not to mention, she makes more a year than I do

Now letting someone else drive my car... ohh thats an entirely different story. No way in hell.
