CT only, non-roller, DHC DynoPack Day Saturday (9/13/2003] super discount
Hiya guys and gals,
I had a dyno run on Saturday 9/6/2003, it was the first for my Zee, which is entirely based on stock equipment for touring package; Not even a grounding kit installed yet, and just completed my first 3000 mile service on Friday; the day before the dyno run. The direct to hub coupled dynopack (DHC), which is the first of its kind in CT, registered 232.4rwhp @ 6159 redline rpm @ 126.8mph.
It was definitely worth the ride from Stamford
to Wethersfield, CT. Almost got nabbed for speeding, but caught him tracking me.
Shortly after I finished, low and behold, rouxeny showed up, with Zee year old stallion and jumped on the opportunity for a baseline rwhp reference, as XXTuning was doing a ‘special’ for Zee/dynopack with ‘hard-to-resist’ introductory pricing. In CT roller dynos still charge $100 for 3 pulls, without tuning.
Both the graph power and performance mapping were very consistent even though the two zees were a year apart; I believe rouxeny had the grounding cables installed. The end results indicated a fine line accuracy report of ZEE rwhp, as wheel/tire, roller wear and tear variance, ya-da, ya-da….. were eliminated. In any event rouxeny’s zee read slightly higher than mine
…heh it could be his grounding, his more run-in power house….. Ooh-err…..and I suppose he’s was better than mine …….. maybe it was a power spike
Anyway, rouxeny, thanks for showing up in the traditional Zee community spirit.”
On Saturday 9/13/2003 the zee that recently got fitted with BORLA TRUE DUAL CAT-BACK SYSTEM by XXTuning is scheduled for his Dyno pulls on the zee revolutionary Dynopack non-roller system I also noted that XXTuning was planning a Zee dyno-day with way-below-cost pricing on that Saturday beginning at 11AM. I would be most curious to see if there is any additional, recovered power gains with the BORLA exhaust system upgrade.
Ooh-err, Victor, rouxeny and party, maybe you guys may wish to organize a meet on that day for the dyno pulls, as this way we could get a more accurate reading of our mods, price to power equation, for a more educated mod path. At the moment, I’ve notice major contradictory real world power claims for the various after-mart modifications. With the new dynopack, the insignificant variance that could corrupt the readings between zees would be eliminated.
Missed you at XXtuning Victor, as I would also have loved to see your air-flow power gains

Hope to some of you, especially with mods, on Saturday. The next dyno run for my zee would be with the Pro-Charger.

Andrew remember to email me the pics that you wish to transfer to Custom "C" prints; poster size 30"x20" You have seen the other posters that I have of the Zees in various colors, and backdrop, let me know if you or anyone is interested in them.
See you Saturday, and if Victor needs more DVD(s) duplicated, let me know and I shall have them with me on Sat 9/13/2003
Talk to you soon.

The nice thing about the Borlas, they're not overly loud; unusually quiet at idle, putting it mildly, the best part is that is would appear that the Borlas relief the zees from belly aches
It was nice seeing all of you at Weatherfield, so.......widetracks, oops...I meant wideassume, hmmmmmmmm....or was it whitetrash....... Jeff...... WTrack....can we expect you to go with the Borlas and then do another dyno-shootout with all three, four Borlas, after running them in...

I am trying to get all the names right, would appreciate if those at the XXTuning Zee day, would message me their names
, or if you prefer, kindly post it. Well…Andrew, I know……Sorn, was it who had the chrome silver?Too bad had to rush back, pouring like hell on the way back, as I had to take my cat to emergency, as it turns out……..cost me two Fikse(s), so far; will know if it’ll cost me more when I pick him up from emergency Sunday afternoon?

Thanks
Gerald

Pseudo dual

just dual headers and at the end, for show….big time bottle neck in between…ouch…..must have hurting

retrofitted with two bigger true um….

...now you're talking

mystery zee

I'm still holding out on the exhaust as I am waiting for others to come out. I know everyone is high on the Borla and right now it's the best bang for you buck but I'm going to see what other's come out with before next summer.
I don't understand your message regarding the names of people and I guess your message to Andrew here is something he'll understand.

Gerald, glad to hear you had a good time. Personally, cars are fun but family is priority for me. I always have a great time with my family and love seeing my son having fun.

Still going through shock with boots, my cat, imagine the vet said that the largest catheter they had for a tom cat was not long enough, as the vet had to us the catheter for dogs
Gerald, I haven't given up yet. I am still thinking about the borla but also want to include the injen CAI as well. I've seen package deals for both at 950 delivered. The install looked rather easy. I just have to see if XXtuning will do a package deal for me or not. I will surely do the intake myself but since I don't have a lift, I might see what they will do for the exhaust installation.
Greg (aka whitetrack)

Greg (prefer widetracks),
You're just in a, what my brother would call it, a "holding pattern" waiting for the fog to clear the runway
Everybody has their own pace and don't ever feel rushed into anything. You've got to pace yourself according to your personal comfort level.
I am certain that when you're ready Craig and Danny would give you a break on the install. You're close by, stop over once in a while and get to know them.
We have not given up on you yet, Mr IT man, we're counting on you to come up with a programmable piggy back unit to optimize/widen the operating parameters of the stock ECU
Do you recall, who else was up at the shop, Saturday?
Incidentally, anyone from the the NE group contemplating on going for the 2003 Z car International Convention in Nashua, NH; October 6-10?
Best
