In case anyone saw, my friend/co-worker was the one in an accident on the turnpike early this am. He has been working SERIOUS days and I think he may have fallen asleep after pulling a 22 hour day. No drugs, racing or any kind of that ****. Please keep him in your prayers, he is hurt very badly.

08 and how did he fall asleep while driving?!
The car flipped over he must've been traveling 90+
GLAD He's alive though! He'll be able to make it through 100%
I hope he can get his car back. He must be real sad about it...

Hope he pulls through. I have fallen asleep at the wheel before and it was not fun(I was lucky and managed to wake up right before I drove my car through a gas station and was able to prevent that). This is a reminder to all who drive tired, it is just as dangerous as driving drunk.

^ agreed, I used to do it all the time working early 5am shift and it is very dangerous. I would wake up on the other side of the road and such, very bad.
On another note crown426, working those kinds of hours I doubt he is worried about spending dough on a new car, unless he is working for pennies or something.

hope he recovers well... driving while half asleep is dangerous... ive had some close calls too and its jus sometimes radio and rolling the windows down is just not enough... anyways, ill pray for him.

I saw him tonight and he is doing better, he seems to be stable and should be out of the ICU tomorrow. If he can get by without an infection, he should be in the clear and make a full recovery in a couple months, fulkl use of all parts....all fractures, no breaks. The circumstances and the way the rescue came about (a rescue sqaud just happened to be 1/2 mile behind him, saw it and saved him)...nothing short of a miracle. I think it was in his best safety interest to be in the Z....it is a surprisingly safe car when involved in a crash.
