Sorry to hear about your loss mang.

And I thought I had it bad, I just cracked my v2(carbon lip) bumper. which I painted and put on 3 months ago.

I would at least try my luck with the city. In chitown the wait is crazy loooong, on average you wait around 12 months to get your money back on a "tire blown by pothole" claim, and I think they only cover parts cost so tire, wheel if bent, but no labor. But at least they do cover it 95% of the time. Your claim would be a lot more money so I dont know, I just hope that where you live the wait time is a lot shorter, if you decide to go that route.
Good luck

Ouch man. That's awful, any way you can charge the city or can it covered by insurance?

Sucks a lot cause towns/cities aren't putting the same money into road repair in an attempt to save some money. As a result our cars are going to take a lot of damage. I'm getting new paint after only having this paint for 2 years due to the crappy asphalt filler they user and it getting kicked up into my car. The highways around here are an absolute mess.

I gotta see what I can do if the state is responsible for the road I won't see a dime. It so shitty because instead of paveing it flat they just throw a path on it and then it's a cluster **** of patch that the plows rip up and then crater time there's 2 of theses I only knew of the one and thought I was good who knew that that can form that big in less then 24 hours

Good luck with that! I had something similar happen to me on my last car. The road here where I work used to be an old Navy base. The roads are crap. I'm waiting for one of our motorcycle enthusiast to drive into one of those pot holes and never come back.

When I hit one of the pot holes it bent my lower control arm, which means I never could get the car aligned correctly. I contacted the city and come to find out that they do not have jurisdiction over the roads and neither does the Navy since they left. It's just a wasteland. That's why I'll never be able to get a body kit or lower the car. It would kill it. I’ve been here 9 years and never seen one crew out working to repair the roads.

They only thing they have done is paint lines over the broken road, just like you just described.

Why you put a bodykit on your car right before winter?

sorry to hear... NY roads suck lol... but if it makes you feel any better, a jerk in a limo van blew a stop sign and t-boned my Z roadster friday morning. gotta love NY roads and traffic haha

btw how much would you want for you nismo lip? and any pics? a new lip is one of the things i will need since my lip was destroyed in the accident. im in suffolk county BTW.

and i know its an 06, but i have the option of getting an 06 bumper since mine is now cracked... as long as the car isnt deemed totaled

Take pictures immediately and use a ruler in the pictures. Then go and file a claim with the city. If they deny your claim, sue.
