Default auto auction q

Does any one know how a car lands up at an auto auction ?

I'm looking at a used car for winter a VWGLS 2.0 Manual 56000 for $7400, i think the price is decent from a used car dealer.

The CARFAX title seems to be clean but I'm a little concerned about the auto auction thing, anyone know anthing about auto auctions ?

TIA for any help

Cars returned from leases etc. Dealers also bring trades to auction since its the quick and easy way to move them.

Most used car dealers buy them and then resell them from their lot. If they cant sell them (quickly enough) they simply bring them back to the auction and someone else picks it up.

It works out for everyone. Pretty common these dyas.
Just be sure to CARFAX any used car your interested in.

The auto manufactures also use the auction houses to reduce inventory. There is a big auction house about 5 miles north of me that had hundreds of Volvos last year. This year it looks like there are about that many toyotas along with other used cars. There are used car dealers all around this place. I saw a number of 300ZXs that were for sale too.
