none taken everyone has their own style hence different kinds of cars. I don't "love" a stock wrx either i think factorythey need at least 17in wheels looks kinda corny with 16's and 205's. and sway bars , catted uppipe and.... the list could go on. When i said buy a subaru i didn't mean just a wrx u can get a older 96 or so impreza L or L wagen with a 2.2 with awd for under 7 grand with average mileage andwould make a great beater and have plenty of room for "mall or shopping runs" that u don't want to take the Z out for. can't beat insureance on one either especially registered as ur daily driver and NOT the Z.

I agree. WRX's with GFX and wheels do look good IMO. Hell, my mom's got a Forester. Before that a Legacy. She loves Subaru. Could that have an effect on how I feel towards Subaru...? Oh well, the STi kicks a$$ and that's all that matters.

gotta agree with you, STi is a sick lookin car. Great over all, from performance to handeling. Just a bit on the $$$ side for a WRX, considering you can snag a turbo SRT-4 for 10,000 less.

srt-4 u gotta be kidding! sure its 10 grand less its a rental car with a turbo it don't handle its reliability will most likely be dodge as well as its great resale value, and all it can do is a straight line and is fwd. This is a Z forum i am shocked you even went there. Yeah its a great bang for the buck but not my buck and i am sure 99.9% of adult Z drivers will agree. Maybe the kids that have z'sknow something we don't. as for $$$ yeah its pricey but what can be compared to the sti within 30k bucks. If it had a stuttgart logo and said porsche on the back it would claim an easy 40k more. NO matter how fast it is i agree it doesn't have the class of a Z.

Dog, dont pop a vain in your forhead, it was just an opinion. around here there going for 5 G's over sticker (sti) and i think thats a bit over priced. For 35 grand id rather be pimpin a Z...wait a second...i am. anyways...im far from being a dodge person or for that matter an american car person but the SRT-4 needs props, its fast an cheap. nottin rong with that, wasnt compareing it to a Z, im just saying for the money its a good deal.

Yeah, let's not start a STi-Z-SRT-4 thing...really.

You know, IMO the SRT-4 not only deserves props for what it delivers vs. what it costs (even if it is a Dodge), but it doesn't look too bad compared to a regular Neon. Kinda like the Subaru, GFX, wheels and a scoop hood made the SRT-4 look like what it's supposed to be-a little sports car.

But seriously, instead of arguing over which car does this and that and which car costs this and that, we should all be happy. I mean look around, we finally have a good selection of sports cars over a wide range of cost (price), and it only seems to keep getting better. Whether Turbocharged or NA, 4-cylinder or V6, AWD or FWD or RWD, it's all here-right now-alleluia. Hell, when they killed the Supra and the 300ZX mid 90's I swear to God I lost an arm. What the hell were they thinking? What took so long? And the coolest thing is all these cars (i.e. Z, SRT-4, STi, RX-8, RSX-S, etc.) look different from one another. So basically, choose what you like and forget about it. But yeah, I guess trash talk will always be part of the sport as well...me? I just relieve myself on the freeway...pedal to the metal baby!!!

well said, ZPower.

For those experiencing the joy of driving in snow on the OE tires, Blizzaks are the answer. The Z is very driveable in snow equipped with the proper tires. You'll be amazed.

def winters tires are a must for any car. Look in europe people don't have all season they have two sets for winter driving and summer driving every car should be equipped for such. I laugh seeing the Ri$ers with the summer tires on during the winter. I have seen stock z's in snow and its scary. Well wrx's stock re92's ain't no picnic either but its got the awd to get the traction thank god.
