Default Is matte black vinyl wrap illegal in NY?

How would you register the car? As the original color underneath the wrap or matte black vinyl wrap?

Why would it be illegal ? It's just like when you paint a non-black car black. They don't change your vin.

Yes, but it's different because you are painting it. It's not like a wrap where you can easily rip it off. So register it as matte black then? I don't want to deal with any issues at the DMV. I want to be certain before I actually matte black it.

Tell them its black. I would be absolutely amazed if they came up to you and knew it was a wrap, or even looked that close to begin with. When I lived up there for 2 years they didn't inspect that closely.

you can check here

The shiny side goes down when your cutting. The vinyl side goes face up. You want to cut through the vinyl, but not through the carrier sheet. Perform test cuts to get your settings correct, and remember to reverse your image on your computer before cutting HTV.

Done and gone.

Two in two days. Love me some ban hammer time. (Gives me reason to haul out the balloon pants.
