Default Black Z in Linden/Cranford 1/24 night???

I got behind a black Z at exit 136 last night and tried to get next to the guy to give him a thumbs up. I was in my truck, and he wouldn't let me near him at the light. Must have thought I was trying to beat him to the merge. Oh well. It had a red and white sticker or two in the back window. Anyone own it?

Good to see somebody else in the neighborhood!

Yea, that's a bad intersection I guess. There's no left turn, so people line up respectfully in the left lane and you always get some ******** that tries to pass everyone in the right lane. I can't blame him.

What's the DD?

I drive from Esidon Exit 131 to exit 172 every night around 8. I was racing black pick up truck the other night. Maybe it was me but I got no stickers on my windows.

Yea, I know that DD, it's relatively new. I go to Circuit City now for my CD's and DVD's because the Best Buy parking lot sucks.

I was off the parkway in a green truck, so it wasn't you krutoydude, but I'm sure I'll see some of you guys on 22 when I finally get my Z back out of the garage. It's been trapped in a rental garage by a solid sheet of ice in the parking lot. I went over last weekend to take it out for a while but while I was warming it up, I saw a guy in an SUV almost take out two other cars in the lot just trying to get back out of the lot. Doesn't look like we are going to thaw out until well into Februaury at the earliest.

Hey Fall-Line, what kind of mods are you getting?

Since we are all in the same area, I guess you guys drive the reservation!? Any other roads I don't know about in the area?

Hey Speedbuggy, is that a VW? That's another car on my list of must haves. I've spent a fair amount of time desert racing in Socal.

Damn, that bug sounds nice.

My buddy has a blue wrx. That was my first real introduction to haters, unfortunately. Man his car has been abused. Ah but people are dicks I guess. I'm not wrapped up in all that competitive car BS that can go on in these forums, so no worries on your car not being a Z.

I think I've heard the reservation called that. I just know it as the Watchung Indian reservation, but it has to be the same place. Everyone drives there. I used to take my ninja through there before I sold it.

I'm sure I'll run into you on 22. Yellow wrx's are not very common. I guess neither is my Brick.

thanks for the compliments, there are two reservations watchung and south mountain two different places. I have been to both one is in south orange area and the other u know about. Whats the guys name with the blue wrx? There aren't too many cocky wrx drivers. Was this wrx an auto by chance? I just happen to know somone in ur area that beats his car like a red headed stepchild. Was curious if its was him, his name was matt. Its amazing in the wrx community everyone knows everyone. I am an installer at a subaru shop in kenilworth on the side they work on other cars as well i am the subaru end www.azpinstalls.com. WRX's are getting stolen like mad so airhorns and kill switches are a hot item and my specialty. Lots of the guys i meet stop in here.

Ah, South Mountain ...I may have to look into that.

My buddy's name is Jeff and he has a 5 spd. His car is stock so you probably don't know him. What I meant was other people beat on his car. Vandals. He got it as a senior in HS and it got paint balled a couple times and some other things. And if you knew the kid, you would know he is the last one that could have brought that stuff on himself. Like I said, People are dicks! Oh well.

I think our whole are is bad that way. I had an integra that was almost stolen in the flagship parking lot early on a busy Friday night. The idiots busted their tool trying to pop the ignition, so they stole some guys accord instead. We were standing next to eachother talking to the cops in the doorway of the Wiz. Then the cops showed up and yelled at me for not having an alarm. What a night that was!

It's funny, I live right near the DD off 22, but don't see very many Z's at all around there. I've seen a couple at the other Ballys on Morris ave. in short hills though. I take mine out in the winter only when the weather is decent enough.

alienx since you rent garage space, (or anyone else)...do you know where I can rent garage space in the Springfield area? I have space for my Z at home, but my motorcycle is sitting in my neighbors garage and I may need to find another garage for it. And any idea what it would cost?

I've found a few places all through the local paper in the classified ads. They were under Garage for Rent, or something close. Lot's of them in Westfield!! They cost around $100-150 per month for your own bay of a garage in the back of somebody's rental property (like a two family house with detached garage). I lucked out and just got in a spot a few houses from me. They actually have an open bay for $100/month.

I've also used the self storage place in town. When I got my car, it was still snowing and I was going on vacation. I have street parking only and I didn't want to leave it out while I was gone. So i rented a 10x20 (10x15 was a little too short). It cost me $175 for the month. The only problem here is that the access hours are mainly during the day. If you are storing a bike, you should be able to deal with the hours and I'm sure you can get a smaller, cheaper unit. Call one of those self storage places and get a bogey. then you can look around for better.

Andy

Hey, that's good info, thanks a lot. Just out of curiosity, which storage place did you use?

Your welcome. The storage unit was on South Ave near the Cranford/Roselle border. Can't remember what the company was...U Store It or something like that. You can find them on the web easy searching self storage. It was a nice deal (if not a little expensive).
