Just wondering who's going to Nissan/Infiniti Shootout on 9/22/13 at Atco Raceway. Trying to set up a cruise with some people that are going. Let's try and set up a meeting place for the day of the event for whoever is interested.

Sounds good guys. I knew about it last year but wasn't able to make it due to my work schedule. How was the turnout last year Darkside Mojo? I am debating whether I want to race or show my car. Anyway, if enough people are interested, lets try and set up a meeting place. I don't know where you guys are from but I was thinking we can have a meeting place at the Loves truck stop on 206 right off the NJTP. Let me know who is interested.

 

Turnout was good....lots of R35's, almost looked like they were giving them away. Very good Z/G turnout. Swimsuit contest was kinda hammy, maybe I'll suggest them to turn it into a wet t-shirt contest this year instead. But overall good time.

 

I'll be coming from Toms River. I usually take 70 to 206.

 

Sounds good. How was the racing/show turnout. I am trying to decide if I want to show or race. I assume there's a Z category in the show? I didn't hear much about it last year so i wasn't sure if it was any good. But, looks like it should be a decent turnout. Johnny 5, do you hop on 206 at the red lion circle? Where are you coming from Darkside?

 

Central Jersey, and the racing payed off more than the show. They had everybody in categories: 350z un-modded, 370 lightly modded, skyline. So you have a good chance of winning, as long as you don't have to go up against some of those 370 guys....my god they were killing that 1/4

 

That's what I figured. The show classes seem pretty crappy and it seems as if you have to have an all out show car to have a chance at winning. I believe they addded a lot of racing classes this year. 12.99 and faster and 13.00 and slower were 2 of the ones I was looking at. I run a pretty healthy 1/4 and can hold my weight against some of the 370 guys. Do you know if they allow drag radials? I guess I can email the N/I shootout people and confirm. I think I am leaning more towards racing just not sure what class I will compete in.

Did you guys decide if you're running or showing?

I think I'm going to show. I'll just shine her up real nice and chill. Bracket racing is boring to me and I don't know if my car is in the 12's in order to compete in heads-up racing.

 

Neither.....I'll just tuck my car off to the side, and leave the show/go to the professionals. Wonder if that team with the right hand drive R32 will be back again?

 

What time are you guys planning on getting there. I'm shooting for 9am, so I'll be leaving Toms River by 8.

 

I will be there around 9ish. I think I am going to race for the hell of it. I would show my car but it isnt really "done" yet with a few details missing. I guess I will decide for sure in the am. Hopefully the weather holds up!
