Thats a nice looking sub setup. I really want to take out all the plastic in my trunk and do a custom sub and airbag setup. Id like to make it all look nicer and if done right will give me a lot more storage room as well

Got a question for you guys....

Any easy way to drain the ac gas out?

Also any good way to release the pressure in the gas lines before they get disconnected?

Gotta disconnect the air lines and gas lines and continue my deconstruction...

Also how much you guesstimate the bare block weighs in at? Like 60-75 lbs or am I way off?

Bare block will probably be low 100s.

Im not certain about the AC lines, I think nissan has a specific tool/method for it.

As far as gas lines, they really aren't pressurized when you dont have the ignition on. When you initially turn your key forward and you hear that buzzing in the background, that is the fuel pump priming the fuel for ignition.

Sweet thanks, I was thinking of just letting it run till it ran out of gas. I still might do that... **** will probably idle for an hour before it dies though.

General rule of thumb is roughly 1 gallon per hour at idle. Thats a rough estimate but should give you an idea

You could also just pull the fuel pump fuse while the car is running. That's what I did when I needed to remove fuel for my compression tests.

Speaking of fuel, I'm trying to cover all my bases on fuel upgrades while Im here. Fuel upgrades are by far the least rewarding. Theres no direct power gain, a lot of plumbing/wiring involved, and its a crazy amount of doll hairs

yeah that looks close to what I have but its a newer year mine is a 05. It will look a little different once i get the car back from the shop. They will be pulling the motor then I'm going to take the body home to work on it. I like the newer year hood so might do some oem updates.

That looks like a heavy *** just pull out box... I used to have a single 8 inch sub and I thought that thing was going to blow my rear glass out, I would imagine 3 subs would probably shatter my hatch...

Good idea with the fuse... Ill see how long I want to listen to that **** make its last run...

Still debating whether or not to keep my dual 10's or get rid of them for a nicer looking trunk setup with bags. Decisions decisions.

As of now, I'm not using the radio in the Z (listening for noises after bag install) and the radio in my daily A4 doesn't work. Getting used to road noise...

Man seeing those pipes reminded me of when I had test pipes on my old Z. Gaskets kept blowing. Made me rage

I seee. I'm still looking into getting one. Thought about getting my buddies '05 Touring. Its Daytona Blue, real pretty, but bone stock.
