take pics of the install. I will need to take a look at my dual disc setup and see why the engagement is so high. Motor is out so will have to wait.

Clutch is in. I didnt see that comment until too late so this is all the pictures I have. The new Spec clutch has a ridiculously like pedal feel. I prefer a decently heavy pedal like my old Z1 setup, but I will be able to adjust to the Spec in time. As far as drivability, its pretty unbelievable that a clutch this light and easy to drive can hold 900tq.

EDIT: Colton, dont go with Strup headers. I REALLY liked my headers up to this point. Like I had no problems with them, sounded great, ran great. When I got them 3 years ago, they were already heavily used. And I know I have also gotten some use out of them. Well if you look at the picture below, you can see the header-cat flange is no longer there. When we took my catback off, my driver side test pipe literally fell off because that flange snapped.

So Im really not that upset about that, I think its all in fair time. And I will be rewarding every connection on them when I pull the motor back out. But just something to look out for when header shopping.

Clutch looks good let us know how it is after the break in. How is the engagement and are you getting a lot of chatter when its not engaged?

I will keep you posted. Ive done about 100 miles so far and engagement is low-mid exactly as I expected it to be. The clutch engages quickly but it is very street drive-able. Took probably 15 miles to get used to it.

The clutch chatter seems the same as my old Z1, so yes there is chatter but its nothing too crazy. Whats crazy on this setup is the cement mixer noise. When under load under 2500rpm the flywheel is pretty damn loud. Doesnt bug me because my entire car is noisy, but to somebody that has a tame car and strives to keep it feeling stock, this flywheel will drive them bananas.

And if you ever decide you want to get your car wrapped let me know and I'm sure we can arrange something

I found my exhaust leakage problem that was throwing my code yesterday... It was a super fun day.

But it wasn't all bad I found this while I was under my car.

I stripped one of the bolts on my passenger side heat shield so ill need to figure that one out before I can remove that side... But exhaust manifold and cat on driver side came off about as much as a pain in my *** as expected.

Seems like everyone is having cat/header issues recently including my stripped wideband sensor. But still CD009 is a nice way to brighten the day.

Hoping the rain holds off for a bit tomorrow so I can wash the Z for the first time in...I don't even want to know. That way its all nice and clean for it to rain again this week

Got Brent's mustang started last night. Has his tune date in a couple weeks so it will be nice to have that running since its been down the last year or so.

Also went ahead and took some vibration dampening and stuck its all over the place. Just helps block out some of the white, and it doesnt reduce the noise levels but I will say I have reduced a lot of interior drone. Im not done but you get the idea of how it will be.

I also tossed some over the fuel basket because my basket lid does not fit with my larger fuel lines.

Since we are posting clutches, this beauty just came in, Exedy Hyper Twin Carbon-R clutch:

Might be a little overkill for my setup though, I'm not probably not making anything crazy.

Had the Motor pulled to be freshen up and to do some upgrades by VTR. I took the body home so i can work on repainting the bumper/fenders and maybe swap the hood for a HR. Also i have a carbon diffuser sitting in my garage with g35 rears i want to finally put on. I want to do some drag racing this season so trying to get everything in order.

Well I was planning on hopefully getting my passenger side manifold off but mother nature has other plans... So now I guess I will clean up my house all day... Not cool...

I did get the drivers side out without removing any coolant lines or steering linkage...

It would be nice to pull the motor just for a nice cleaning up... But I wouldn't even get to drive it this year if I did that.
