Starting a NW Z Club....
I'm aware of two similar clubs.
There is Northwest Nissans, which isn't just Zs. I don't usually follow this club, as I'm not much interested in non-Zs
There is also a Z Car Club of WA [http://zccw.org], which is all years of Zs. I went to one of these and it was cool, we had a fun drive and all, but it really wasn't my type of crowd (appologies to anybody here who is part of ZCCW!) as the median age of that particular meet was probably.... double my own or more!
So I guess the question is, what type of club interests you? (I'm always jealous of the CA "communities" - those spoiled party animals *sigh*)

I know what your talking about Jason. Ok now that I have some info. What would you think about starting a NW Chapter? I think that it would be cool because we get to meet everyone and make new friends and even show as a group. Im more into having fun and getting to know people.
Well, the biggest problem we have up here is that we're all scattered about. aside from the few down in the seattle/bellevue area that is. I'm down for any get togethers, but I hate structured "clubs". I don't do meetings, but I do enjoy hanging out and getting to know others with similar interests as mine.
If you're talking about a traditional car club in the sense of collecting dues, planning activities, having by-laws, etc... it's no easy task and takes a certain level of commitment from most of it's members. I've looked into ZCCW and I'm w/ Jason, it's not for me either (no offense intended to ZCCW members). What I've noticed is that most car clubs are usually formed by an inital group of people who tend to meet on occasion for certain activities and/or to hangout. I think that's the 1st step you need to acheive before creating an effective car club. There probably won't be much concensus by just posting to this forum the intent to start a club.

Ya, meetings, by-laws, all that *yawn*.
I think my favorite car club was MR2-NW. The club is essentially a bunch of people who drive MR2s, know each other, and do events, and communicate via a mailing list. There are events, but they are when somebody decides to set something up. There is no "president" or anything official about it.
That's kind of what I feel would be best.

I'm up for a meet as long as we get the opportunity to do a good drive. Not that just meeting other people isn't cool, by itself, but it's always much more fun when we get to flex flex our Zs' muscles a bit.
Jason, that was a great drive through Carnation. Would it be possible to do that again? Also, I've heard that the roads are being more closely watched now-a-days in the Carnation / Issaquah area. Is this true? Not as free as it was 2 years ago?

Anyways, I'll try to figure out something this week when I have a few moments
Jason,
If you agree to supply the 'entertainment', I'll do the organization work and get the ball rolling on organizing the Northwest 350Z Faithfuls for a day that would best suit a local get together. Does that work for you?
