PDX Racer, I heard some pretty bad news about what happened. I'm not quite sure of the details, but I heard a little from BA Cutler. Did this happen on your way to Nationals or while you were at Topeka?

 

Aww dude! I just read what happend on the autoX forum. I'm so sorry. I guess you're in Topkea now. If you go through w/ the Miata, the best of luck to you. You can fill us in on details when you get back.

 

Yeah, having your stuff stolen sucks.

We figure that they thought that the wheels would be "an easy mark" and when they found that they were locked to the trailer, they thought that they could cut them free easily with an axe. When that didn't work, they probably got pi$$ed and decided to do whatever they could do to steal them "just to show me." Strangely enough, nobody seemed to "notice them" stealing them. I just think that they didn't want to get involved.

Yeah, I'm going to drive the Miata. It won't be the same as the Z, but right now we both feel a bit violated, and the Z doesn't seem to mind me driving something else. She sure seemed to get here in a hurry (and with pretty decent gas mileage) after I decided to co-drive the Miata.
