Default Windshield Replacement in Portland

I was wondering if anyone had had their windshields replaced recently with good results. The last time I had it done, it was by the Glass Shop who charged my insurance for OEM but didn't give me an OEM replacement and they also scratched up my car.

Any suggestions on a Mobile service?

Just this morning I watched (from my work window) Speedy Auto Glass drive up and fix someone's window in the parking lot. They did a solid job (from my perspective) and seemed to have a good attention to detail. I've seen them in this parking lot a few times so they must be getting good word-of-mouth.

Then there is Speedy Auto Glass over by me.

And I came across this quote from someone else.

What's up with that insurance price? They cite $100 as the deductible (mine is 10x as high.) Is there a separate deductible for windshields that I should be aware of?

Thanks for the tip, Steve.

I ended up calling my insurance agent and asked for a recommendation. They pointed me towards Delta glass and window in Beaverton. I'm getting the windshield replaced on Saturday and will let y'all know how it went. I'm getting my lawn chair out and I'll watch every little thing the person does (because of the crappy experience I had last time.)

Halitosis: my windshield is being taken care of by my comprehensive. I have a $50 deductible that the glass place waives (I'm sure they add more than that to make it up on the bill to the insurance company.)

Delta ended up doing a decent job. I stayed out there with him and surfed the net while he replaced the windshield. The dude chipped some of the paint on the A pillar piece taking the windshield out but some touch up paint took care of it. He also ended up dropping a little plastic cap from the plastic cowl cover behind the battery and we couldn't find it. They said that they are going to replace it for me. I got it in writing.
