Default Spots for photos in Seattle area

Hey~

Washed the Z and drove around a lot last Sunday looking for good spots to take some glamor shots with some Seattle background. I'm not from around here and only been here a few months, so I am still unfamiliar with the area. Just want to snap some good pics to send home to my peeps. Where are some good places to get some pics of the z with some nice background- like the olympic mountains, seattle skyline, mt. rainier, etc? Also places in Bellevue, since I am living there now. I found some nice scenery, but not too many places where you could actually park the car and get it in a nice photo, particularly without having other people in the background or parking it next to someone elses car. Tried to go to alki point, but it was like grid-lock going over there on Sunday so I turned back.

Also, speaking of washing the z, I prefer to use touch-less car washes since my color is super black and I am paranoid about scratches. The only one I know of so far is in Sea-Tac, but living in Bellevue, thats pretty far to drive to get a wash. Can anyone suggest some others?

Thanks!

go to western seattle (across the big bridge). that is the best spot for good shots with the seattle skyline in the background. at least that is what i have seen. i need to go do it myself.
as for car washes, i just wash my cars by hand. luckily for me, i have a car wash station inside my apartment complex. hopefully u can find a good wash station out where you are. i was paranoid about scratches and swirlies on black paint. it drove me up the wall.

Yes, you need to go to Alki Beach. It faces NorthEast and has the skyline in the background.

Another spot is Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. That is where they have the park with the "Frasier" view of Seattle and the Space Needle.

There is a brushless car wash on First Hill / Capital Hill on 12th Ave just South of Seattle University, but when I went through there I had big trouble with the pipes that you have to drive over. I couldn't get the tire in the right spot and I scraped something on it, so I'm not going back there. I wash my Z by hand every time, even in the cold of winter I think it is the Arco or Exon or am pm or something by the athletic field, not the Shell which is further North.

Get up on Queen Anne...you should be able to find a street with a nice view of the city in the background.

You won't have to deal with the traffic of Alki. Alki is good in the winter...nobody there.

If you take east lake samamish Blvd. and go north on it there is a nice little park with a marina, me and some friends went there a few weeks ago around sunset some nice pics. the pics are somewhat large so here are links to give you an Idea of what the place is like.
